Previously, video games played on a home console have been confined to the TV and offered identical viewpoints to each player in a multiplayer environment. Furthermore, watching TV and playing console games have been completely separate experiences. The new controller removes these boundaries, creating a more dynamic and fluid gaming and entertainment experience. The type of gaming experiences made possible by Wii U and the new controller include:

In single-player games:

The new controller can display information on its screen that does not appear on the TV.

The information and viewpoint can also change in the new controller based on the orientation of its gyroscope.

In multiplayer games:

The player using the new controller can have a different experience than those looking at the TV. This will offer a wide variety of competitive and cooperative opportunities

In addition to the 6.2-inch screen, the new controller also features an accelerometer and a gyroscope, a rumble feature, an inward-facing camera, a microphone and speakers. Adding these features to the Classic Controller button scheme; two analog Circle Pads, +Control Pad, A/B/X/Y buttons, L/R buttons and ZL/ZR buttons - will enable a breadth of game-play experiences while appealing to both casual and dedicated video game players.

Wii U combines motion-sensing game play with the ability to support full HD graphics. Each Wii U console will be partnered with a new controller and can also use up to four additional Wii Remote or Wii Remote Plus controllers. The system is also backward compatible and can play all Wii games and use all Wii accessories. The Wii console has sold more than 86 million units globally and greatly expanded the overall audience for video games. Wii U aims to expand that audience even further. Developers worldwide are already working on new games and experiences for the console.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD

In this timeless classic with a unique and colourful "toon-shaded" art style, players guide Link as he sets out on the massive Great Sea to find his kidnapped sister.

Players will sail the seas in search of lost islands, fight fearsome enemies, take on mighty bosses and seek out the legendary Triforce.

FEATURES:

- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD features 1080p visuals that will immerse players in the game like never before.

- With the Wii U GamePad controller, it's easy to manage your inventory and view maps.

- Players will enjoy cruising the open sea with a new sail that gives them more speed, bringing them to their next destination and action-packed adventure that much faster.

- Once players receive the "Tingle Bottle" item, they can connect with others by posting comments to Miiverse. Through this new feature, comments or screen shots posted on Miiverse will wash up in various locations, such as the shores, of other players' games. It's like finding a message in a bottle.

- Players can also take and store a greater number of pictures as well as higher-quality photos with an improved Pictograph and then post them on Miiverse.

- If the television is already in use, this game can been played off-TV on the Wii U GamePad.

Rayman Legends

Rayman, named platformer of the year and winner of multiple artistic and musical achievements, is coming to the Wii U with a brand new adventure. Michel Ancel, celebrated creator of Rayman, Beyond Good & Evil and the Raving Rabbids is bringing his innovative creativity to this new and exciting platform. Rayman Legends makes full use of the power of the Wii U. With the new Wii U controller, discover new ways to platform with its touch-based gameplay, gyroscope technology, and even the ability to extend your playing experience when the TV is off. Additionally, the power of the machine has helped pave the way for new, more detailed graphics and lighting.

Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies are off wandering through an enchanted forest when they discover a mysterious tent filled with a series of captivating paintings. As they look more closely, they notice each painting seems to tell the story of a mythical world. While focusing on a painting that shows a medieval land, they are suddenly sucked into the painting, entering the world, and the adventure begins. The gang must run, jump and fight their way through each world to save the day and discover the secrets of every legendary painting.

Wii U Showcase: Rayman Legends takes full advantage of the Wii U and its new controller's capabilities. Use the touch screen to take out enemies, manipulate platforms, cut ropes to clear a path and much more. With the gyroscope technology, you can move rotating platform and there are many more surprises to come!

The Game Must Go On: The Wii U allows you to keep playing the game even when your television is off. You will be able to continue Rayman's adventure on the screen of the Wii U's new wireless controller.

5-Player Co-op Gameplay: Now more players can join in on the fun! With 4 Wii Remotes and the new Wii U controller, up to 5 players can play at once. At any time if someone wants to leave or join in, the game will continue without interruption.

3D Boss Battles: The bosses have a big advantage over Rayman's gang an extra dimension! Dragons and other epic creatures can attack from all angles, so you'll have to be on top of your game to defeat them.

New Challenges: Connect with your friends through a variety of challenges that will test your skill and speed. Check the leaderboards to see where you rank around the world.

Rayman Rocks!: Jump to the beat of a drum, punch to the bass line, even zip-line during a guitar sustain. Timing and rhythm are the key to beat these maps set to music. See if you have what it takes to be a Platforming Hero.

UbiArt Engine Advancements: The UbiArt engine has expanded its abilities to now include 3D gameplay elements, a new lighting design, and a new rendering system which take Rayman's award-winning graphics to the next level.

The Award-Winning Team Is Back: The legendary team of decorated artists, designers and composers are teaming up again to create new worlds, new characters and a new soundtrack.

Pikmin 3

Pikmin 3 is a fully reimagined, mass-action strategy title from the critically acclaimed Pikmin series. Players will discover a beautiful world filled with strange creatures and take command of a swarm of ant-like Pikmin trying to survive. The world is densely packed with treasures and enemies, which makes the game much more action focused and fills it with layers of potential strategies and paths, adding greater replayability to challenge modes.

Players can play using Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk-based controls or the Wii U GamePad controller. With new intuitive controls that make it possible to aim at objects directly, players can command their tiny, yet powerful, squads in different ways.

The GamePad acts as an overhead map and radar to track Pikmin movements in real time. Players can slide a finger across the touch screen to quickly switch between areas, giving greater flexibility in commanding multiple groups of Pikmin.

The greater processing and HD capabilities of the Wii U console are put to extensive use, resulting in a more intricately designed world, enhanced ant-like movement of the Pikmin and precisely detailed overhead views for enabling easier strategic use of the Pikmin.

After completing a stage, the replay feature allows players the option to review their results using the GamePad and TV. Fast-forward, rewind or pause while assessing the previous mission to decide on other paths.

In addition to the five original types of Pikmin encountered in previous games, the new Rock Pikmin bring powerful new abilities and are able to crack hard outer shells of enemies and break through solid barriers.

Mission Mode challenges players to earn the most treasure in a given time.

LEGO City: Undercover

For the first time, the fan-favorite LEGO City vehicles and play sets come to life in LEGO® City: Undercover, exclusively for the new Wii U console. Players assume the identity of Chase McCain, an undercover detective armed with clever disguises. The mission is to put a stop to the fiendish Rex Fury and end his crime wave in LEGO City. As players run, drive and even fly through the city, they'll use the Wii U GamePad controller as a new police gadget.

The Wii U GamePad is woven seamlessly into the game-play experience. Players use it to scan for hidden clues and criminals, receive mission updates and place waypoints on an overhead city map that displays their position in real time.

Experience LEGO City like never before. Players will encounter familiar play sets come to life as they explore the vast city, looking for clues to bring Rex Fury to justice.

Players can go undercover with a variety of disguises, including a firefighter, a construction worker and even a robber, and use their unique abilities to solve puzzles and access new areas of the city.

There are more than 100 vehicles for players to collect and use to explore the city, including sports cars, motorcycles and even aircraft.

LEGO video games are known for their humor and parody, and LEGO City: Undercover delivers this and more with fully voiced characters and ambient crowds, bringing LEGO City to life.

Cracking deal

I think it is physical

It does really seem like people are clearing out what they can before xbox one and ps4 are out..
I welcome the cheaper prices tho!
Hot deal for sure

Three great games to add to the premium pack - good value this bundle is. Rayman Legends is one of the must play titles on any system but it also plays best on the Wii U.

Best deal yet!

stonking deal

when this console hits 99 quid I'll probably pick one up

Wasn't it £200 on shopto with zelda? Which would make this cold in my eyes. Some great games but you should be able to pick up rayman and pikmin for under £80 and Nintendo land isn't much more than a tenner (could care less about lego).

Really tempted to pick up a wii u at some point but it would need to be sub £200 with 2-3 quality titles considering I'll be getting a ps4 in under 2 months

Really wish I held out for the Wii u! Paid full price just after launch. Top console, but not enough regular games coming out.

If you picked this up, do add your Nintendo Network ID to the HUKD Wii U Owners thread and let's connect on Miiverse - hotukdeals.com/mis…=12

Just about all consoles go through a lean early period - Wii U may possibly feel like it's had a leaner period than most but there are certainly games coming including some really interesting indie ones.

Comes with a whole bunch of games and unusually for a bundle there's no filler. It is objectively a very good pack if you want to spend the best part of 350 quid on a Wii U.

I just have trouble with that number for some reason.

Me too, sounds like a lot.
@Mindstuff - it was £200 with Zelda on Play fora brief moment but it was the Zelda pack with a digital copy. This is a hard copy. It includes about £120 of games as far as I can tell, maybe a little more, so still leaves the Premium Pack at £220 or thereabouts.

Fair enough, I'm with wild_quinine though about spending the best part of 350 (albeit with decent titles) when I'm getting a ps4 for that. When it's a little cheaper and all the aaa games are out, I'm game.

This pack is too much it should come with a health warning. There's just too much quality gaming in one go there. Your head may potentially explode.

A PS4 with no gamesand no online! If anything this deal should be a massive wake up call to the gulf in value and quality available between the two come November. Get a ps4 12 months down the line. Do you know what kind of scores these games got and what gamers have been saying about them?

Also consider the the Wii Fit U deal is only available until Jan 31st.

Are you actually being 100% serious with that prediction? Because I'm struggling to think what your logic is.
Think of it this way, if you chose to not buy an Xbox 360 until the RRP was £99 then you would still to this very day (8 YEARS on) not own an Xbox 360. Same applies for PS3.

Wanting to buy a Wii U (or any current or next gen console) for £99 brand new is the most ignorant, narrow minded thing I have ever heard. I could just as easily be like "What PS4 at £349?? naaaah I'll wait till its £99 and comes with 5 games and a free controller".

Yeah you're right, they've switched the package!!!! You might want to update the title and image James.

This probably saves you 20 quid only assuming you can pick up the console for 200. Not really watching the price myself

RRP of course not but thanks to this site I'm sure we will see a ridiculously cheap price in the next couple of years hasn't it already been as cheap as £150 for a basic?
