Wii U Bundles (Zelda, Lego) - HMV - £149.99

Found (and bought) a Wii U Zelda Bundle in HMV Bristol for £149.99, with stock still available as of now. They had the Lego City bundle too for the same price. The black premium version for some unknown reason was still priced at £199.99. Staff in the store say this is a nationwide deal.

This isn't too surprising as it appears many Wii U titles and accessories are being reduced across HMV stores. They were also reducing games in store whilst I was there.

Hope this helps someone!

Someone release the geese, and here we go another 'deal' which'll go hot yet no one else on here will have taken advantage of it.

Hi hotfinder, I won't be able to make it down to HMV again until tomorrow morning. I can check for you then, but please be aware, there were 4 in stock (of the Zelda version) when I left and now I've posted on here, they'll probably go quickly.

Thanks for your offer. Appreciate it. I'm trying to ring them now and see if there's any left. I'm not travelling 20 miles just in case.

they had the zombiu version in Kingston this morning

Cracking deal. I know for sure HMV Bangor no longer stock Nintendo products so no point looking there folks

it's a hit and miss, HMV are just lazy, not the staff, but senior management, they need to start to micro manage their stores and then fix their supply chain problems!

Great deal, but doubt very much my store will have any in stock.

Cool thanks. Hot I mean....

Is this the 32gb premium bundle? What's the difference?

And that has any relevance to this deal or my comment about this being wild goose chase?

I've heard from a few sources most of the big retailers are discontinuing support for all Wii U products

what sources?

Is this deal definitely nationwide?

I think he was talking about his condiments

Now if I found one at this price I wouldn't need to sleep on it and change my mind (I also have a £20 voucher i thought I'd never use). Will phone my local one after work just in case!

Most of them already have.
It just doesn't make sense for general stores like supermarkets having their shelf space taken up by a console that isn't selling.
I haven't seen any Wii U products in Morrisons or Sainsburys, wouldn't surprise me if you only found them in specialist games stores.

I'm saying all this as a Wii U owner, fingers crossed Mario Kart turns it all around....

I've just got off the phone from the manager of HMV Taunton and was told HMV and Argos have stopped supporting the Wii U - once all their stock is sold, they will not be buying in anymore

Someone has already commented that they found a bundle at this price elsewhere. So looks promising.

It's going to be very hit and miss though as these consoles are most likely just clearing out stock now that HMV isn't selling Wii U games any more.

£129.99 for a wU - now that's awesome. Good luck!

Southampton store have none in stock and said they have discontinued the Wii U from stores so whatevers left in other stores is all they will have

Do these include the Joypad, or is it just the tablet controller?

Wimbledon, South London 0 stock....the guy that answered the phone said only the very large stores still stock Wii u

Please don't panic buy! John Lewis, PC World, Curry's and Toys R Us all 'Price Match'. The smart move would be to price match with John Lewis for the extra years warranty or use Toys R Us for the gold card points and money off coupons.

The main problem with places like Argos & HMV is that their standard pricing is uncompetitive (outside of clearance offers) and most people who do want to make a purchase will end up buying elsewhere. Adding to that the well know fact the Wii U hasn't been selling well generally means fewer overall sales to get a small percentage of. Maybe I'm blinkered by my own demographic but honestly, outside of the occasional "wild goose chase" bargain, who shops regularly at Argos / HMV for video games stuff? I can't imagine there are many people who do.

Good call on the price match but they would ask for evidence of the price to match, how can this be done as they don't have an online store.

Just went to worcester store these deals are dumb more of a lucky dip!

Well pcw/currys don't sell the wii u anymore(well at least my local ones stopped awhile back, pretty sure the guy I spoke to said all branches have/will be stopping), as for the price matching it all depends on the hmv and pcw/currys/Jl within 30 mile radius actually having any in stock to begin with.

Was this the HMV next to Cabot Circus OP? Tempted to go have a look if it is. Thanks
