Stock levels currently for the cheapest.
Might be worth adding 32gb into the title as well. Good find OP
Decent console. I would pay the extra for the 32gb version though

Didn't the Basic come with only 8GB?
I suggest the extra £10 and get the 32GB. You thank me later. All the digital games would soon fill up a 8GB.

Can you not plug an external hdd into these?
Play most of the same games as on The Switch at a cheaper price, more choice and old classics on the virtual store.

I have the 32gb but have barely used the system storage as I use an external hard drive, If you plan on going digital you will definitely need a hard drive anyway so 8gb is enough for save games etc.
The 32gb boxed is £20 more than the 8gb boxed, not really worth paying £20 extra for just 24gb extra storage which you'll fill up in no time.
The 32gb unboxed at £90 represents the best value in my opinion just £5 more than the 8gb £85.
Absolute bargain. These can be hacked and you can install all wii u games on an external hard drive. Not that I condone piracy of course
Bought the £95 black discounted last week. Thoroughly enjoying it.

Yes you can. No problem.
You can the. Download the games using usbhelper.

Bargain. £75 for access to the entire back catalogue of every popular Nintendo game.

, Mario kart SNES , Mario kart 64, double dash, wii and wii u (8) editions.

You’re right.
But having both, the switch’s screen is wwwaaayyyy better.

So much so im buying Zelda again just to put on the switch.

Need to figure out save game transfer though
So even updated firmware Wii U can have "customrew launchers" installed now? Or do you need a haxkee or whatever it's called

Paid £95 for the 32gb yesterday, bit annoying...

I suspect that didn’t have a 24month warranty.
Do you guys know what is the difference between discounted and unboxed?

Discounted tends to be a bit scratched up, as mine is. The console is scratched to hell on top, but the controller (in this case a Zelda ltd edition) is really nicely kept, so I thought it was worth the trade off
Cex do Free Delivery on items over £50 also they have a policy of return the item within 48hrs if you are not happy with the item ( in-store only and refunded in vouchers )

TBH I wasnt impressed with the Switch's screen at all and didn't think it looked all that better than the Wii U even though it's meant to be a lot better. Zelda (BOTW) has washed out colours and looked terrible in places (Muddy brown and greens). On the TV however it looked great. The screen is crisp but I think the colours aren't that great. Donkey Kong on Wii U screen looks amazing!

Yes you can. When I bought my one it had Mario 3d land. Dinky Kong tropical freeze. Mario kart 8. Octo dad and a few more. So I got 160gb external USB HDD. Use port don't put out much power so you need to get a cable that plugs into 2 USB ports like this. It's a bit dusty as doesn't get used much.

If you want to play Zelda breath of the wild for instance you will need the 32gb version if you want to play it with any sort of update. As for external storage make sure to buy a self powered storage because the Wii u for some stupid reason doesn't constantly power through the usb slots and it can corrupt your save files. I experienced this myself before i upgraded to the 32gb and it's a pain, nothing worse than having to restart a game like Zelda not to mention countless others.

You can but you will need a self powered storage because the usb slots in the Wii u don't constantly give out power and can corrupt your saves if you use something like a usb memory. Happened to me when I only owned the 8gb before I upgraded. so annoying
Another benefit of getting the 32gb version, if you're lucky like I was, you may get a version that has a game built in. I got the mario kart 8 version.

So you can’t install updates to the external drive? What if the game itself resides there? Seems crazy that Nintendo would make a version of a console that can’t store game updates.

You can get 2.5 “ drive. With a y connector.
It plugs into both ports and works well to get more power.
Buy them for 8£ on eBay and put an old laptop drive in.
