Those buying a Wii U now don't have that luxury. Amazon is cheapest atm at about £18 but they don't have any in stock. Even 2nd hand copies are expensive :O

A decent price for Child of Light, but everyone of those is cheaper in the shops (bar Mario 3D World which is never cheap ever).

Thanks for the heads up OP.

I'm not interested in the games that are available on a disc but will check out the eShop only titles:

Child of Light
Cloudberry Kingdom
Knytt Underground

Got to admit I was hoping for some better deals on virtual console games like metriod, Mario World, probotector etc... Nevermind.

Not bad price for the eShop games but remember that you can't sell egames.
If, like me, you only ever keep 1st party titles by Nintendo and sell on the others as you finish them, download games don't make much sense as you can't sell then and recoup some or most of the initial cost. Still not a bad deal if you want downloads.

ZombiU is actually a very good game, definitely had some flaws but it wasn't the flop people made it out to be. I've played it through twice and I'm not someone who repeats games. Oh and if you have a friend to play with, the multiplayer is brilliant.

If you like RPGs of just about any sort, I recommend Child of Light. A delightful game.

Nice, I'll be picking up Child of Light when ours gets unwrapped and set up on Christmas Day.

Yeah, had forgotten about that. If anyone redeemed their bonus game with the Mario Kart promotion this summer, that puts you a long way towards your 500 point threshold. I got Pikmin for free but it has shown up as earning over 300 points.

Single player is good and you can clock a lot of time on that alone as once you have completed it you can go back and replay each mission different way. I enjoyed Co-op missions a lot however, online side of things is very broken and can take a lot of effort to enjoy it. In having said that it's been a while since i've been Online and maybe they have fixed it but i very much doubt it.

GQ Man

Splinter Cell any good ?

yep, enjoying the heck out of it. great replay value too

These prices are mostly what they should be normally, but as it's Nintendo these are good prices NES Remix 1 & 2 reallllllllllllllllly need to be in the sale. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeasssse

damn, bought one of the sale games for full price yesterday

scram kitty any good?

Interested in Splinter Cell, the Wii U port any good?

Some decent prices in there but for Christmas I find it kind of disappointing overall. Nintendo's main advantage over their rivals is trademark characters and their rich back catalogue of classic games on the Virtual Console, so why don't they put any VC games on sale to push home that advantage? Instead they put mainstream and third party games on sale for which they are hopelessly outclassed by their rivals. Play to your strengths Nintendo!

I would really like to have picked up Super Mario World to complete my collection of classic 2D mario titles as I have all the NES ones but it just never ever seems to go on sale, in fact barely any VC titles seem to go on sale at all. I know the game is good enough to be worth full price but it's still kind of hard to justify even £5.50 when that amount can buy you so much more on rival systems during sales....
