the recent PS4 and Xbox one deals make this seem highly overpriced. cold from me.

I think it is cheap.

Controller £23, Smash Bros Game+Amibo £47, backpack £15 (which is all it's worth if not less) mean £215 for the Mario Kart 8 Premium Wii (which isn't all that bad). Gotta vote cold considering the basics are still £65 cheaper for less memory and a different colour.

I recommend the 32gb as I have one but was also using a USB drive. The usb drive became corrupt and lost my bayonetta 2 save. I had to reformat the hard drive in the end. Luckily i wasn't that far in. 32gb allows you to store 4-5 full games plus saves. The rest can be backed up USB. Wouldn't recommend using the USB playing games from.

What is an amiibo?! I own a wii u and have no idea

Use an SD card in a USB card reader instead.

It's a single celled animal which catches food and moves about by extending finger-like projections of protoplasm. They like damp conditions.

Perfect for my flat then

It's a good deal, unless I'm proven otherwise, you can't buy all these separately elsewhere, for cheaper!

Hot.

Mid-range gaming PC + a WiiU make PS4/Xones, seem obsolete.

Do you mean a USB flash drive? They do say those aren't supported.

Personally I'd go for a basic for £50-80 less. Not voted.

Bundle seems a good deal to me, heat added op.

£300 is about the right price. very slight discount, comparatively. heat from me.

I've just covered Amiibo in my roundup of next week's games at Dealspwn. There some info if you scroll down, plus a video. An odd video.

I should think so at 800-900 a pop.

The WiiU is simply not worth it. Vastly underpowered hardware, been on the market 2 years, zero third party support going forward and a digital system that is stuck in the 90's.

Not to mention region locking.

the max this thing is worth is £200. £300 seems like a ridiculous price when you can currently get an Xbox one and 5 games for £350.

Personally if I was going to be spending £300 on a console right now I'd be buying the wii u and a few games over the ps4/xbone, I have a PS3 if I want to play last gen titles not spend £300 to play tarted up last gen games.
Not saying I'd buy this particular bundle, would be the premium(black) mode tho as it goes with the black/silver of the tv cabinet, tv etc we have.

P.s. I bought the wii u back in August, but the point still stands regarding spending £300 on a console at this moment in time.

how is it's "digital system" stuck in the 90s? what a stupid statement....

I desperately need to know where you can get a pro controller for £23.

Personally I got

Wii Basic
Extra remote
Wii party
Nintendoland
Supermario Bros
MarioKart
Assassin's Creed 3

For £199, which is a far better deal in my eyes.

Console and party pack from shopto ebay store £160
ebay.co.uk/itm…908
MarioKart from rakuten/shopto £31 (using £5 discount code)
rakuten.co.uk/sho…t_5
Assassin's Creed from Zavi £8

Where are you finding a pro u controller for £23?! Cheapest I can find it £34 at Tesco

Great deal, heat added

Quick question what is the controller with the screen called? and is it needed / useful? I think you usually get one of those "screen" controllers with the wii u? would a second be handy and how much does that controller cost? I'm assuming that's not the pro controller as it dont look like it cost 30 quid.

Its called the GamePad. It is needed for the set-up of the console and some games do require it (ZombiU for example). However all those games that do require it only make use of one GamePad.

At present no games support 2 GamePads and GamePads cannot be bought at retail, instead if its break simply contact Nintendo and they can provide a replacement for around £80.

If you don't want to use the GamePad then the Pro Controller will work with most games along with some older controllers and Wii remote combos.

That's a gamecube controller, I mean a pro controller which are usually £30+

I love my Black Wii U, but let's face it the real deals are on the basic white one at the moment.

Can someone please answer me this...If I buy the gamecube style controller that comes with smash bros..do I then have to buy the £18 adaptor to plug the controller into!? I'm confused
