At last a good enough reason to buy a Wii U, for me at least- Wii U Premium Limited Edition pack with The Wind Waker HD! A really competitive price point in my opinion and the limited GamePad looks quite beautiful.

The Wind Waker HD looks like an amazing update to a classic game and with Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101 already out, and some amazing games like Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros on the horizon I think it's a great time to finally pick up a Wii U.

Don't forget 1.05% TCB or 1% quidco cashback. You'll also get £5.00 in reward points from GAME.

This bundle includes:
- Black Wii U Console with 32GB flash storage
- Wii U GamePad and stylus with limited edition Zelda design
- The Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker download code
- Wii Karaoke U 7 day free trial
- Console stand, GamePad cradle & stand
- HDMI cable
- Sensor bar
- PSU for both Console and Gamepad

Trailer showing off the game and hardware bundles:

EDIT: Use code GAMEPAL for £10 off or CLOUDSEPT13 for £5 off as of today (6th September), note that they will likely expire in a couple of days.

Why pay a premium for some scribbles on the gamepad .

Its not really that much of a premium considering you're getting The Wind Waker HD included

Not even a disk with the game on. Bogus.

Decent price but would much prefer a physical copy if you only get 32gb flash memory.

I'd prefer a physical copy too although the download version apparently only takes up 2.6GB. Speaking of a physical copy there is also this limited edition of the game which includes a Ganondorf statue. Doesn't seem like much of a bargain though at £59.99.

would have liked a gold wii u and gold gamepad lol. just as gold as the wii controller i got.

Since the console is advertised as a 32gb console and you get several gigs less due to the nintendo update the this 2.6GB game, I wouldn't be surprised if this issue was raised with the advertising standards authority.

Agreed that it could be cheaper, but considering that the premium pack is still £200, its really not a bad deal at all. Limited edition consoles with a big title will hold their value better further down the line. By my calculations,£200 for the console is worth it, £30 for the game, and maybe a £20 premium based on the fact that its limited edition.

I was considering a wii u anyway, so I'm going to bite.

Thanks op, have some heat.

Any more drivel you want to post? Have you never bought a USB flash drive/memory card/hard disk/etc? None of those give you the full stated storage space, by you comment all companies that make those should be reported to advertising standards.

Good price for limited edition version compared to Monster Hunter or Zombi U versions. Would pre order but as others have mentioned call me old fashioned but prefer physical copy (You are old fashioned :-) Will give it some thought and maybe go for limited version possibly

I think the billions they have in the bank will mean this is not the case, even if the Wii U does tank (which does look likely unfortunately). I love the gamepad and the exclusives, but Nintendo have got many things wrong and there's a huge wave of negativity among the so called hardcore, and the general public don't seem too aware of the damn thing!

Not a bad deal, but disc copy would be nice. I'm not paying £30 for WW, as much as I love it. Although with Game having a lot of the games at £35, it gives some hope the prices will be sensible!

And to whoever said the advertising standards thing... my 20GB 360 had about 13GB of usable space when I got it, this is nothing new.

I've voted cold...and reading the comments feel like I should justify it.

The premium console has been sub 200 quid on several occasions meaning your paying 50 quid for a hd remake of a really old game.

You're forgetting the golden squiggles on the game pad which isn't available on the 'standard' premium edition.

Post #16 has broken it down in terms of the price.

This is a poor deal, you don't even get a physical copy of Zelda so have to fill the already small HDD with the game. You can regularly find premiums for not much over £200 and the game won't be £50 when it's out

Have you even read the previous comments? The £50 isn't just for the game, you have to take into account that this is a limited edition.

decent value package. The decal on the GamePad does seem ... pathetic... I mean, change the colour of the console... give the GUI on the OS a limited edition Zelda theme with icons and sounds. Just a simple decal detail on the GamePad doesn't seem very special to me. bit on the lazy side.

I was hoping for a golden console or something along those lines although handily it does match this limited edition 25th anniversary 3DS quite nicely.

I don't think you can pick up the standard premium pack at around £200 currently. We are beginning to enter the period where the Wii U actually has some decent software coming out meaning retailers won't be dropping their prices to shift stock so easily.

I haven't looked everywhere but the major retailers are listing Wind Waker pre-orders at £44.99 and honestly I can't see it dropping below £39.99 at release. The big Nintendo franchise games (Zelda, Mario etc) tend to keep their initial price for a long time. As mentioned this is a limited console pack too, it's simply worth a little more and will be worth a little more in the future once it's sold out.

It might be worth pointing out this also comes with a digital copy of 'Hyrule Historia', an art book that Zelda fans seem to really like. I think it is a bit cheap that even the book is a digital copy, considering you would feel less engaged/interested if you were just looking at the artwork on a screen as opposed to the book.

Seems to be the American bundle that includes the digital Hyrule Historia. Looks like we get the Wii Karaoke U 7 day free trial instead.

I'm going to sound like a nut more than likely but...I plan to get this and theoretically sell the digital download for Wind Waker on Ebay (Would I realistically get an okay amount for it?) and buy the limited edition Wind Waker hard copy.

The Wii U wont tank, dont be silly. Dont even think for a second Nintendo will stop developing for it. They have games in development which will take us to a minimum of of 2015, and you expect the console to tank? The sale have been bad recently due to a lack of games, but it now appears the games are coming from up until christmas. I reckon Nintendo will easily make it to 5m Wii U's sold by the end of the year.

AS for the bundle, the deal isnt that bad. Like others have said, i would have much preferred a physical copy of the game as im still old school with changing games by disk/cartridges. But its nice to see Nintendo embracing the digital age more. They should have added the Gannondorf special edition or have the console/gamepad in gold (though i suspect they'll save that for Zelda U) then it would have made this bundle a must have. Right now, this deal is really only good for those who are interested in the Wind Waker HD and want to pick up a Wii U bundle on the cheap. Though for me as a Zelda fan, that gamepad design is really tempting to pick up a Wii U.

Yeah, of course it will.

As a Wii U owner, Pikmin 3 is a good title but my god does it get boring quick. 16 hrs to complete it now collecting dust no replay value ! Lego undercover is the consoles gem IMHO still £250 is too much, get the basic extras arent worth it even for Zelda stickers !

Looks a bit
http://heathersweets.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/after-eights-on-a-plate.jpg
to me too

Looks okay for the bundle, but really how limited will these be? Come Christmas will they be selling these off at bargain prices like every other "limited edition".

Given that they just dropped the price of the premium bundle by $50 in the US, wait a few days and you'll find the premium bundle for £200 all over the UK.

It's stil at least £50 too expensive at that price mind, but thats just my opinion. A HD rehash of one of the worst Zelda games to be released (cell shading is nasty, and gameplay wise it didn't touch OOT/MM/TWP etc) doesn't really help it, although I understand some people loved that game and will be very happy.

Can't really vote as this is the RRP anyway and its not really a bargain, sorry.

It already has. Nintendo won't bin it off, they can't afford to (and it would be daft to do so) but the figures don't lie, its been a massive flop on the scale of the dreamcast.

In it's first 6 months, they sold 3.61 million units..thats it. That is a tiny number - want comparisons?

The wii sold 10 million units in its first 6 months
The Gamecube sold 3.5 million units in its first 6 months (and that one tanked..)
The Dreamcast sold around 2.8 million in the first 6 months
PS3 sold roughly 4.5 million in its first 6 months (and that was $600!!!)

Dont have time to dig around for more and VGchartz just make up their numbers so can't refer to them, but its pretty clear that it's not selling well. I will change that opinion if they break 5million sales by christmas, but I can't see that happening, especially with the XBONE/PS4 out in 2 months.

It's a shame as its a good update to the Wii and I would like one, its just vastly over priced and too gimmicky..that gamepad could have been a good idea but its been poorly implemented, which isn't what you would expect from Nintendo.

The wii u has definitely tanked in Europe so far. I think they have sold something like 160,000 in the last 3 or 6 months, 90,000 japan, 60,000 usa but only 10,000 in Europe. Incredibly low numbers for Europe. I think Gamecube managed to maintain a far higher sales level post launch. The only thing is nowadays the market is saturated with gaming hardware.

I think most people would say the wii u needed a lower price for Europe because of the very low interest in it. Still I hope it sells really well but I personally think Nintendo needed a more competitive price. If it doesn't sell well this christmas then it will be under even more pressure for a more extreme price cut in the new year.
