Finally! Been waiting for this to drop since the US release - I know what I'm downloading as soon as I get home. Thanks for the heads up.

I have this is the Wii mode VC, how do you go about upgrading it to the Wii U version?

if you already have it in wii mode, when you go to the wii u e shop, you be able to upgrade for a lower price. think its about £1.50

The eShop will automatically discount any VC game that you have previously bought on the Wii.

nice deal for a classic that costs WAY too much on ebay for an original cart. Glad this arrived

Oh wow someone paid £160 yesterday ebay.co.uk/itm…400 Does this release mean that it will completely bomb in price now? I'm guessing this person found out and was selling it quick.

Not a chance, it's been on the Wii VC for years now and the price has gone up & up.

This and Star Fox used to get a lot of play on my N64 back in the day. The good ol' days.

Thanks! I might have to get my N64 collection out of my parent's loft..

I may have to buy this. Never played this on the n64, maybe it's time to industry my wii u for a emulated game.

Will pass this on to someone i know thanks

Original carts will keep their value. It's a different market completely. N64 collectors might purchase the Wii VC version but they;ll still want the cart for collection purposes (and also so they can play as originally intended)

You could be sitting on a gold mine if they are all boxed. Crazy prices for Conker, Mario Party 3 and Paper Mario at the moment.

Thanks OP.

Chris

Sweet! Glad to hear it's coming to the Wii U VC! I still want to get the N64 version for my collection, but at least I can play through it again in the meantime.

Probably not except for Paper Mario, I have the Zeldas and Mario 64 and that's about it. My parents were a bit angry at how much the games cost I think and so I was never given Banjo Kazooie or Donkey Kong. I didn't really have a collection until Gamecube.

With games like this going for so much money, it makes me wonder how long to keep games like Metroid Prime Trilogy and Xenoblade Chronicles that are already going for decent amounts on eBay..

I wonder whether this will be the PAL or NTSC version of the ROM? The fact that this question needs to be asked every time is tiresome.

It is, this should hold up pretty well on the gamepad!

I played this right thru til the end a few years back. tempting to do it all again. awesome game!

Have this on the Wii Virtual console so will be paying the upgrade fee for gamepad support, well worth it!

Better or worse than thousand year door?

Better in my opinion. Just a little too short

Hmm, hopefully not that much, I traded my 2 copies of mp trilogy to Amazon for 50 each a couple of years back...
My N64 collection is still safely packed away though, including Paper Mario..

Thousand year door is the best. I've only just recently finished it. I finished the original years ago though.

not played Super or Sticker star yet. despite having them both sitting there.

The Thousand Year Door is the best of the bunch, though all area good (or great!) games. Super Paper Mario is quite different though, being more a platformer than an RPGs.

yeah, and besides, cart > roms > eshop.

charging 8.99 for something that literally can be downloaded in seconds. I would consider buying eshop games for £1 just for convenience, but 8.99 is crazy talk

this gameeeee my life

How do you manage to play all these games? I have such a backlog on my 3DS and Wii U, that stopped buying new ones, unless it's a great deal that will be gone.

I remember buying this second hand for N64 for a small fortune, completing it, and selling it for even more than it cost. Such a wonderful game, I will certainly be getting this - heat

Doesnt seem to make a difference... Castlevania Symphony of the Night on PS1 rarely edges below £100 despite being on PSN for years, and even as a freebie on the PSP castlevania game

I just bought it, I've never played this before either bonus

The game's now up and definitely gets a purchase from me, at the £1.79 discounted price from having the Wii version. I bought a few thousand Wii Shop points nice and cheap a while back, so I can see myself doing this with the N64 VC games as fast (or should that be slow (_;)) as they can release them!
