1 man, 1 blade. More is not needed for a perfect wet shave. For generations, men have been swearing on a razor - now the expert Wilkinson launches a Premium Edition. The trendy set includes everything for a stylish showdown in the bathroom: the new Classic safety razor in an exclusive stainless steel edition, 5 razor sharp Classic razor blades, a cool shaving brush and last but not least - shaving soap in the jar. If one knows about wet shaving, then Wilkinson. More than a century ago, the long-established company produced razor blades for the first time - and still practices this craftsmanship today. For a perfect wet shave first soak the whiskers - for example, in the shower or with a warm, wet cloth. So the razor can grasp the hair more thoroughly. Use the brush directly in the crucible to whip up the shaving soap with fast, circular movements, then massage into the beard hair. The right technique is crucial: 1. a 30 degree angle between the blade and the skin and 2. the pressure, namely: let slip smoothly. Wash razor foam off with cold water and gently pat dry with a soft towel. additional care provides a soothing aftershave.

Great, nice little xmas gift for the other half
Can I get a better razor than this for the money? I don't need any blades, brush or soap. Just need to replace my razor. Left it in a wet washbag for a couple of months and it's ended up rusting so I can't take the blade out.

Check shavingshack. They often have deals for sets and individual items that are much better quality than Wilkinson. I bought the whole set some time ago for £23.

Isn't the quality in all of these really dependent upon the blades used? I haven't used these old-fashoned razors previously but very interested in getting an excellent one bsed on recommendation.

I have something similar that I get on well with, I chose the butterfly version as it is easier to remove the blade and dry off (which should prolong the life of each blade):

I find a huge difference in my shave depending on the blade, even between blades from the same manufacturer.

You can get a sample pack from ebay with maybe a dozen different types, then you can find the ones you like best.

No. A blade may perform poorly in one razor but do a great job in another one. A lot is also dependent on technique.

Why would it depend on the razor and not the blade?
Is the brush actually boar? Would rather avoid it if so, but can't seem to find the official information on it
