Was on the look out for some cheap refills for my Brita jug when I came across this in store yesterday. The refills are currently £3 for 3. Bargain. On line also.

These any better than brita?

The reviews are very good and a hell of a lot cheaper. In my experience Wilkos own stuff is excellent.
Might be worth a try as I've always used Brita, but it's their policy not to discount at the moment, which is why we don't see any Brita deals anymore, so I'm thinking of trying something else
Must be better than drinking tap water. I was gonna get a brita but this will do the job.

no difference
Heat. I used the asda refill for my brita jug and nowhere did it last the litres it claimed to last.
will look to pick up one when i am near the store

No. For a start he lid sits loosely on the top so you have to wait till It's completely filtered before you can pour out the water. With a Brita filter the lid is quite tight so you can pour a small amount of filtered water out without the lid falling off or unfiltered water pouring out the sides.
Also it takes ages to filter - because it uses the old style of filters - and as the lid sits at an angle when you fill it to the top of the filter cover it will leak out the sides (and because you can't fill it to the top you don't get that much water unless you top it up)

On the plus side the filters are a lot cheaper than the Brita Maxtra and that is the ONLY reason I use this one in my Campervan (Although If I can find an old Brita filter that uses the old filters this one will be going in the bin)
