No thats probably right. My Mountfield mower is 150cc.
Did you break a speed record?
Exactly my thoughts
I bought a one of these generic Chinese made mowers from a large DIY chain, I got four years or more out of it before it stopped running, I suspect it was the carb but could never prove it because no-one woujld look at it. The reason they gave was that because the parts are generic and unbranded even if they found the fault they couldn't get the parts to repair them so in fact they could charge me for spending time diagnosing the fault but still couldn't fix it, in short it wasn't cost effective from my point of view.
They all said that fix machines they haven't sold but they need to see a Briggs & Stratton engine or something similar so that they know they can get the parts.
So, I'll get to my point, buy this at fifty quid and it's worth it for a year already, any longer and it's a bonus, get the four years or so I did and you're on to a winner but just keep it at the back of your mind that if it packs up after a little more than a year it might be difficult to get repaired.
Just sharing my personal experience without trying to sound too preachy!
Thanks for the info
Absolutely fabulous and makes a meal out of my lawns.
Don't think about it at this price, if you can get your hands on one it's a no brainer!!!
Heat added
Or just clean the carb. People often leave the fuel in over the winter and it gunks up the carb. Quick squirt of carb cleaner and you're back in business
I assume you got your money back
They sent another saying it would be right...it's not so I will be getting my money back next.
This was about 2pm this afternoon.
It's is a trade off really I can understand somebody buying one of these they are cheap. Having fixed lots of petrol mowers (all b&s engines) it's handy being able to buy the parts and there's lots of info about these engines because they've been around for a long time. My experience with those Chinese engines hasn't been too good so there is no way I could recommend one to somebody who isn't good at repairing no matter how cheap they are.
I'm a plonker but not a complete plonker! I did all that but to no avail-it was like a step back to my youth when we were always tinkering with the carbs on our mopeds and the like. Not being one to throw away if someone do something with it I left it outside my house and a mechanic took it away, if he got it going then good luck to him, I had my money's worth.
Spark plug possibly? Though if you were wise enough to clean the carb then I'd say you'd have looked at it. 4 years is a good run really I got one cut though I bet we are on copies of the copies by now so the quality must really suffer.
It' says these mowers are 100 on there web site ,I notice some stores are selling them for this price as well ,yet other stores are selling them for £50 surely this is not right . I'm in Bristol area has anyone seen any in any of there stores, thank you
Telford still had 2 today
Try the Long Eaton shop like i mentioned in my deal, they may still have them in stock.
