These are great kits. I have made the newkie one. Nice post op
What's the newkie like matt? Anything like the real stuff?
I've made the IPA and I think they do a wheat beer too. Both perfectly acceptable. I think I got better results with these kits than I did with their "artisan" range tbh
Looks good. Tempted to start doing a bit of home brewing. What essentials do you need to get this lager made and then bottled? How many bottles and where would any of you home brewers recommend buying the gear from? Thanks in advance. Sorry for the hijack
They do a starter kits, that's where I started tbh.
The range also do a good variety of beginner kits.

As for bottles, if you know someone who works in or owns a pub, 100 brown or Amber bottles costs nothing, just ask if you can have some. Just caps and bottle capper to buy!
damn - I missed this. I even had those kits in my basket from a few weeks ago Its at 99%, I see some are still available in store so I'll nip down tomorrow - have some heat

Thehomebrewshop online has everything you need and have never let me down, Wilkinson s is also decent for basic items. As for bottles it is seriously just as cheep to buy the swing top bottles (like grolsh), drink the beer and reuse them. You can also reuse soda bottles as they can be pressurised. Get 2 brew buckets/containers with a tap fitting, an airlock and bottles and you're ready to go (will need 1kg of brewing sugar per kit). Each kit makes 40 pints which is why people start to buy kegs as filling 40 bottles is time consuming but then it starts getting expensive. Many videos on YouTube, good luck.

thanks for this op, managed to pick up a couple of kits from the bolton store at the weekend, not much left in there now and thanks @beergoggles for posting thehomebrewshop I picked up some really cheep hops and a couple of wheat beer kits from there too. Just need to wait for the cherries to ripen and then I'll try to make some cherry wheat beer.

I can never make up £50 to cop the free postage... Otherwise I'd probably use them all the time, as they have a fantastic range of stuff.
