I was amazed this is the cheapest I've seen them. Very happy. I already have the britva. But at this price I've taken a second bobble jug.

This is great just as good as my britva. Though a completely different shape so must be only for use with wilkos jug.
I use aqua jug and filters. Just got 36 filters a 3 year supply for £35.00.
A bout half the price of this offer, but compared to brita this offer is very good.
great price..esp the filters. I bought just an asda brand and I thought that was cheap for £8 for thr jug and £5 for 2 filters

For someone poor though now they can have fresh filtered water too. Even us students can afford this x

My geograhy is bad, but i am guessing that fort kinnaird is in scotland? Things are cheaper up there!

Nice one, I'm sure generic filters can't be that different to expensive ones

No they are filled with carbon if I take an educated guess.

Yep, I broke one open to see what it looked like a while back
This is worth repeating:

Is this as good as a Brita water filter?

No. For a start the lid sits loosely on the top so you have to wait till It's completely filtered before you can pour out the water. With a Brita filter the lid is quite tight so you can pour a small amount of filtered water out without the lid falling off or unfiltered water pouring out the sides.
Also it takes ages to filter - because it uses the old style of filters - and as the lid sits at an angle when you fill it to the top of the filter cover it will leak out the sides (and because you can't fill it to the top you don't get that much water unless you top it up)

On the plus side the filters are a lot cheaper than the Brita Maxtra and that is the ONLY reason I use this one in my Campervan (Although If I can find an old Brita filter that uses the old filters this one will be going in the bin)
