Tip from a professional pick and mixer.

When filling a cup cram those sucker down I mean really fist punch them so the bottom bulges. And fill in the gaps with jelly beans

Because, in moderation, sweets aren't the end of the world. Don't tell me how to parent. I'd rather her teeth fall out and she actually enjoys her life then her look perfect and have a miserable existence, like a certain someone

The pound cup is now 2 pound
Don't get the medium it's the worst value designed to rip you off
All the diabetes comments make me lol.

I think common sense is what needs to prevail. I recently had bloods done for various reasons. Came back, I was right on the edge of Type 2 diabetes. Couldn’t get my head round it. Cycle 4 miles 5 days a week for work, run 4 miles 3 mornings a week in about 32 mins (I’m told that’s a reasonable pace too), AND I box twice a week, training for about 90 mins & burning around 1030 calories a session. Doc even complimented me on my resting heart rate, which is around 47bpm. I have two young children too (both under 3 ½), so I eat healthily as they eat what we eat, setting an example etc, I’m always on the go: yet Type 2 was knocking at my door. The doctor said that over the last 15 years, two previous tests revealed that I’ve always been at the higher end of the number (can’t remember what the values were): it’s just the way my body runs.

So, I continue to exercise the way I do, I eat healthily, and when the offer is usually on, I get the biggest cup, I brim it, I eat it-germs too. But it’s called moderation. Do I eat like that all the time? Nope. Is it just the way my body is? Yep. Do I let my eldest eat those type of sweets occasionally? Yep. Does she love it? Yep. Does she know it’s a treat? Yep. That’s the education. Not all this scare-mongering, you must never eat this etc etc. Sometimes you just have to let things be, and if people have the facts and choose to ignore them, what difference does it make to you? Apply that to anything. I know I binge occasionally because I want a treat: I work hard, I eat healthy. And that’s what I’m building into my girls.

I'm a Cineworld Unlimited member and regularly take my own snacks in unhidden, they don't have a problem with it.
I've seen people take McDonald's in there too!

I was never sure if they were totally serious but nevertheless.

It’s nonsense. Staff have to follow strict hygiene rules which are set by both the supplier and Wilko. Any sweets that are handled or contaminated in any way are instantly destroyed

Don't forget as well, Wilko stores are inspected by food inspectors and given a food hygiene rating. All of my local Wilko stores have a 5, meaning very good.

Well I don't supposed the staff would sweep up the spilt sweets off the floor and put back into the tubs while the hygiene inspector was around

Like I said. it was something a controller said in a shopping centre. I imagine it's happened at some point in time, just like someone spitting in a burger but hopefully a very rare occurance.

Wow I can’t handle this fame
Turned my stomach last time I was in Wilko getting pick and mix. Kids - and parents - handling sweets with their hands, eating them as they filled the cups, tipping back in what wouldn't fit. Even saw a toddler dropping them on the floor and putting them back in the display afterwards. Staff were there and saw but didn't say a thing so as not to cause offence. This was during the last half price offer when the display was crowded with families after school had broken up for the holidays. Absolute chaos. One woman told her kids she was going to walk around the shop eating the ones she had already picked and then come back and top the cup up before paying. She left them there to eat what they wanted while she wandered around. Sorry but I'd rather pay a bit more for something hygenic.
Can I take my own cup in?

You could but there would be no stock left when you leave. The manager may dislike this.
I have been waiting a while this year to upgrade to the new version of diabetes v2.0, as I currently have v1.0.
Thanks,
will vote hot if they have any spicy sweets.
Yum really craving some sweeties right now.
