These are excellent. Good for meal prep if you're in to that. I have one and a Morphy Richards soup maker which is idiot proof and you have a few bowls of soup ready in 30 mins including prep time.

Also most people get too much protein so stop obsessing over it if you're are

I wouldn't say so. On digital slow cookers, after low and high cycles are complete, the slow cooker automatically goes to the keep warm function. Therefore I'm guessing the keep warm is a lower temperature than low.
