Haha I got 3 kids, I suffer everyday! You can get the pics out on their 18th birthday, the shame!!!
Glad my son goes as a different footballer every year, all this dressing up in school is just silly. If your kid needs this to encourage them to read, then you've failed as a parent.

My kid reads everyday, doesn’t need this to read BUT he enjoys dressing up, especially as the person from his favorite book. It’s called using their imagination and having fun. Give them a break & let them have some. They grow up too quickly as it is.

Wow the fun police are out......My children are all excelling on their reading levels and dressing up is not impacting on learning in any way but encouraging play and getting into the role of the character! I understand in schools there is a pressure to dress up and I'm more annoyed with the cost implications of this but that is why I try to find deals so it isn't so costly for parents!
You too can look like Michael Portillo...

My kids primary school make the kids wear full school uniform on world book day but let them bring ...a prop in from their favourite book. e.g harry potter glasses or a wand. A bit rubbish if you ask me!
