2 excellent films, but you cannot beat the Wilder version IMO!
This box set features Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory, starring Gene Wilder and Tim Burton's Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.

Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory (Dir. Mel Stuart) (1971): From the classic Roald Dahl story comes a lip-smacking delight with jolly tunes, among them The Candy Man and Pure Imagination. With a golden ticket young Charlie Bucket (Peter Ostrum) wins a tour of the factory of wily mogul Wonka (Gene Wilder) and run by his Oompa-Loompa crew. There Charlie, his Grandpa Joe (Jack Albertson) and others discover a kind heart is a finer possession than a sweet tooth. Don't let the tour leave without you!

Charlie And The Chocolate Factory (Dir. Tim Burton) (2005): Tim Burton brings his vividly imaginative style to the beloved Roald Dahl classic Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, about eccentric candy-maker Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp) and Charlie Bucket (Freddie Highmore), a good-hearted boy from a poor family who lives in the shadow of Wonka's extraordinary factory. Long isolated from his own family, Wonka launches a worldwide contest to select an heir to his candy empire. Five lucky children, including Charlie, draw Golden Tickets from Wonka chocolate bars and win a guided tour of the legendary candy-making facility that no outsider has seen in 15 years. Dazzled by one amazing sight after another, Charlie is drawn into Wonka's fantastic world in this astonishing and enduring story.

Believe it or not, but my kids both prefer the original version!

Their favourite film of all time is 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'!

They just don't make them like they used to!!!

Good price voted hot.

The originals the best, love the crazy scenarios used for getting the golden tickets at the start of the movie such as the computer saying "what would it do with a life times supply of chocolate?" and the professor "telling it exactly what it can do with the chocolate!"
