Wimbledon is back and ticketmaster are once again selling a small number of tickets each day for centre court and court 3.

This has been on for a number of years now and here is a link to last years deal with a lot of info.

hotukdeals.com/tag/dea…873

There are two different types of ticket available:

Returns for Centre Court and No.3 Court
Reserved seating for Centre Court and No.3 Court

A limited number of tickets will be available: Centre Court for each of the 13 days of The Championships and No.3 Court for the first 7 days.

For returns tickets will go on sale with Ticketmaster at around 48 hours before the day of play e.g. at noon on Saturday for play on Monday June.

Reserved seating tickets will go on sale each morning at 9.00am for the following day's play e.g. on Sunday 27th June for play on Monday 29th June

Here is the link to the wimbledon ticketing page which details what happens.

Have done this myself for a few years now and its a great day out.

There are a lot more Reserved seats (9am tickets) than the Returns. I have only ever got Returns once or twice, where I have been in th Reserved sections a lot more.

Returns are normally half way back , the reserved are normally near the back.

Can anyone tell me that for which day I should buy tickets in order to watch Federer's game?

He's in the bottom half of the draw so he'll be playing on Tuesday.

Finally getting overseas for the first time and have timed it with Wimbledon on. I desperately would love to obtain tickets through Ticketmaster as I did not have any luck with the ballot.

Would return tickets be very minimal, sometimes nil, each day? I just wonder if the chances are very, very slim of getting returns? I would have to get up in the middle of the night to try, so if returns are near impossible I would just continue my sleep!

When choosing reserved tickets, are the chances better for Centre Court or Court 3? Again, I just want to make sure I try for the one with the best chance..as this is probably my only lifetime shot at this! LOL

Thank you all for this forum and your responses. Greatly helpful.

Cheers,
Nick

Arghhhhhh, the one deal I wish wasn't posted...
Just makes it more difficult now! lol

The weather is forecast to get very hot from Tuesday onwards next week
Monday looks to be a bit hit and miss

How many return tickets for Centre Court would be on sale tomorrow?

Original Poster

there are not many returns on any of the days. some days there might not be any at all. I woukd guess around 20 return tickets for tomorrow. Wherease the "reserved" 9am slot will have a couple of hundred fpr Monday

Thank you very much. Also, can we say that it will be in centre court?

I did think that but then I also thought someone is going to so it might as well be me :-)

Strange thing is that Wimbledon normally email these details to everyone as I have 2 email accounts listed with them. neither have been sent any details about this (which has happened for the last 4 years). So I would think the email route rather than hotukdeals would of gotten this more traffic tomorrow.

As ever, its fastest fingers win ...... good luck :-)

The order of play (which court they play on) is only annouced the night before. He's very likely to be on centre court on tuesday. given he's the number 2 seed, he'll be the highest seed playing that day. So likely to be centre court (although not guaranteed)

I got 2 too :-)

The ticket numbers wont mean anything at this stage (apart from the order they were bought in). The tickets they sell start at GA0 seats 1-2 and then go through to GA1.

When you go on Monday you'll be taken to the ticket office and they will give you an envelope with your tickets in.

Each time I have been before with "returns" I have said in the 300's . which are half way up . But you wont actually know which seat you have until you get there I'm afraid. Some time the returns can be at the back in the 500's

here's a link to the plan of centre court with the sections listed. Quite handy to have when you get there.

I tried about 4 times, finally got them about 12.05 ish. Its the first time in 6 years that I have managed to get returns tickets. I have always got reserved seating for centre court though, after a lot of patience.

for returns, I know they don't give you your seats on booking but are they allocated on booking or on arrival- so the earlier you get there, do you get better seats, or does that not make a difference?

Doesn't matter what time you get there; The seats are allocated in booking order.

Congratulations on those who received tickets from the returns today. I was unsuccessful and would I be more likely to get tickets at 9am tomorrow morning? And do I keep on refreshing the page where it says "sorry no tickets available" ?

All gone by 9?!

congrats to those who got tickets. I'm hoping to get some for Friday

anyway to navigate ticketmaster efficiently? I suspect these Captcha boxes are really going to slow me down

got lucky last year but not having any luck so far. frustrating...

Managed to get 2 in block 502 so assuming I was really quick as last year it went 501-512.

The captcha I think is the decider if its easy you're in luck otherwise you have to be quick!

Hoping to go Monday Wednesday and Saturday same as last year (all via ticketmaster)

Good luck all!

Anyone been before, we are going down to London afterwork on Monday night get there later, but probably be too late to get show court tickets right?

Does anyone know if it is quicker to try and get the tickets via the app or the website or no difference?

Life long dream came true last night at 3am. Centre court tix. On the plane there now!

Does one have access to Court 1,3, or other courts with a Centre Court ticket?

Managed to get centre court tickets for tomorrow (Row ZC, so right at the back but better than nothing)

Got lucky and got just the option to tick the checkbox to say 'I am not a robot', and that was super fast!.
Other times I have had to click photos, or type in the standard words, Both which are very slow and ruin your chances.

Would have preferred the returns and there is much chance of a better seat, but can't complain...

You can go on any outside court but not the other show courts like Court One , Two or three. but that does leave 14 others to choose from.

Just got 2 reservered seats for Tuesday. Am going today (returns) and tomorrow (reserved) before I fall in a heap on Wednesday oO

anyone got any after 10 o'clock?

That captcha made me enter 4 times...either I need glasses or my ability to understand the alphabet is seriously flawed...didn't get anything

I got two for centre court for tomorrow, only got the "I am not a robot" tick thing and went straight through. Row ZC or something. I've been before but the wife hasn't so she is excited. Happy Days.

No you don't need to refresh it counts down and then shows the ticket number choice.

When the timer hits 00:00 the page auto refreshes.
But my experience is that it still doesn't load the section to pick the number of tickets you want.
So I immediately press F5 to do a manual refresh and then the section loads and I rapidly select '1' ticket.

After this you get the dreaded captcha (This is the make or break), and there are 3 seemingly random possibilities:

1. (The best option)
You select the 'I am not a robot' checkbox and it takes you straight through

2. You select the 'I am not a robot' checkbox and then it gives you a series of photos and you select the ones that match a phrase. i.e. ('Select the food' or 'select the drinks'). From experience I believe there is 3 to select. But you really don't have time to mess around and to be honest the chances are high that you'll have lost out unfairly to those uses that got option 1.

3. (The worst option) You get the old school captcha that you have to type in 2 words from the photo.
I believe you only need to type the first word correctly and it should let you proceed, but occasionally I would swear I got this captcha right and it still rejects me. But again the chances are high that you'll have lost out unfairly to those uses that got option 1.

When you get through to buy the tickets you get further timers to actually make the purchase so you can't mess around at this point either.

Well I didn't rush this morning and got 2 so it is the luck of the draw.

dwoodsy90

do you know how quickly they sold out?

I didn't rush and did the transaction at about 09:10.

I think you can get lucky and get some tickets after the first 60 seconds but this is rare

The main tickets probably get allocated in the first minute (if not less) but if people then don't make the actual purchase within the required timeframe, those tickets will be released again meaning it may be possible to get some afterwards
