Thanks Boz.
Thanks OP, I downloaded and read it. A surprising easy read with interesting background and history . Such as the theory on Windows 10 naming and the number 9 means pain in Japan and is an unlucky number.

Not as MS biased as I thought it was going to be and actually admits people hate some parts and it has failing's and how MS c0cked it up since Vista.

Not written in a boring text book style either, the how to do system backup ,etc or set up the voice assistant is in easy to understand language as well as pictures.

I believe it was written in 2016, and since then Windows phones are dead and MS has given up on the platform { though some die hard users will still swear by them ) LOL.

Are windows phones dead?

Pretty much dead to me. Bought windows phone and found it quite easy to navigate but eventually never use it due to lack of apps. Things will only get interesting when windows phone allows android apps to run on it
No illustrations or diagrams, hence practically worthless!

Many Thanks appreciate the feedback
thank you Boz!
A Windows 10 companion is like a regular companion, except he borrows your computer without asking.

You're not alone. It has <1% of the market.
Thanks Boz, really need help weaning myself of Vista!
...no, really.
I don't want the hassle of feeling "it's not my machine", "where's this feature been burried!", ...you know the feeling.

Yes same here moved from vista to 10 on my laptop. There is a classic shell to make Windows 10 look more like previous versions. I found that a great help.

That's interesting, thanks I'll try it.
I really must migrate all my stuff onto W10, I've built an NUC with W10 pro and also have a lappy with W10 home, and use neither, so I think this will help me!!

Well, at least with pawn, you've got 3 balls to look at!

I wondered how a book could be a 'best seller' if it's free.

It is free if you take out a 30-day trial of 'Kindle Unlimited'. Otherwise it's £2.99.
Showing as £2.99 for me, so guess it is expired now.
