Lots of good reviews seems a good spec for the price (and Windows 10)

If you just want an Internet / word machine, you're better off with this for the price... tier1online.com/1-v…dr3

And btw, your title is wrong, it's a Core 2 Duo CPU, not a Dual Core.

What's Amazon service like with refurbished item? Do they come with 1 year warranty?

Ok doesn't have Win 10 or benefit of FBA but I bought a Q9650/4GB/250GB OptiPlex off the same seller 3 years ago for £99.99 so I'm struggling to see the PortableParts machine as a good deal.

These are decent little machines, but very old, and upgrade possibilities* are minimal due to the locked-down BIOS (I know, I tried and managed to fry the new cpu).

If you are looking for a basic internet browsing machine, or for writing the odd letter, this is near perfect, but it wont play games much past Spider Solitaire.

*Replacing the HDD with a SSD will speed it up a fair bit; the CPU has minor upgrade potential, but RAM and GFX - you are pretty much stuck.

Word of advice, dont mess with any of the stock Dell fans, if the rpm isnt within a very narrow range (locked in the BIOS) the fans are switched off, that is how my cpu got fried.

. . . the sellers title is wrong . . .

This is not a good deal for the hardware. I am all for refurbished goods and low end machines but these would should be worth around £50 max. I have put better working units in the bin.

No good. Same deal on ebay from sellers £50 to £60 tops. Just bought one with 250GB hdd for £45 + £10 postage.

So it is - doesn't give one much trust in the seller, when they don't know what they're selling!

Calm down, everyone makes mistakes. The description states Core 2 Duo which is a... dual core CPU. Technically, they've not listed it wrong.

Same here, I used to have a core2duo e6750, and stopped using it over 7 years ago at ;least as it was too slow, even running linux. Have upgraded my computer at least twice since then as I need a fast computer.
Before all the bitching starts, I know not everyone needs a fast computer... but to be honest you'd be better off either getting an android box or a compute stick rather than this piece of junk, dependent on your needs of course.

Too old I would not advise purchasing this

Another non-deal today. Save your money please folks.

Armchair warrior pedantry never ceases to amaze.... and the irony of the first comment is that it is a Dual Core Core2Duo.
