Windows 10 Professional includes features of Windows 10 Home, plus important business functionality for encryption, remote log-in, creating virtual machines, and more. Get fast start-ups, a familiar yet expanded Start menu, and great new ways to get stuff done, plus innovative features like an all-new browser built for online action and Cortana, the more personal digital assistant.

What Windows 10 Professional enables you to quickly connect to another 'domain', whether this is your business or school to use network files, servers, printers, and more. Ideal for taking your work on the road when you still need access to the office network. Professional also gets additional security with BitLocker to help protect your data with encryption and security management. Best of all, create and host virtual machines using Hyper-V, which is ideal for testing new software or, if you're a developer, how your software performs on a brand new fresh OS.

Windows 10 is designed to go with you seamlessly from one device to another. It's fast and responsive. You even get free chat or phone support from real people. With Windows 10, it's easier than ever to do great things.

Multi-task like a master with the ability to snap four things on the screen at once. Screen getting crowded? Create virtual desktops to get more space and work with just the items you want. Plus, all your notifications and key settings are collected on one easy-to-reach screen.

What was new in Windows 10, when it was released? The OS brought back the Start Menu, though with a twist: live tiles keep you up-to-date with the latest news while also providing an easy way to launch apps. (Don't worry if you prefer the Start Screen, it's still there and you can boot into it if you prefer.)

When you buy Windows 10 Professional, you'll be presented with the latest version which offers you the very latest May 2020 update.

Includes a 1-PC, unlimited lifetime licence which means you can install on a single PC and, later, move to another PC where required (this is not a system builder/OEM license).

You could say the same about buying stuff in a shop, why pay more if you can just take it? This is when money saving gets a bit too daft

It was a nightmare to work out if this was actually a good price or not as it seems to range from £3 to £300 online

OEM licenses are linked to a Hardware vendor (Dell, HP, Acer) etc. Does this deal state the vendor brand the key activated against.

Just be careful with OEM licenses as your hardware has to match the OEM license.
What's the benefit of the Professional version for a standard home user like myself? Use my PC 🖥 for Web browsing, Emails and office applications? Not much else really. Thanks. Heat added though as appears a good deal for a genuine purchase.
I bought one off Ebay, and googled the code - it was all over the Internet!

nonthing really. Pro give you access to Domains, additional admin tools etc only really needed in a corporate environment...
I’ve got 4 copies of Windows 10 pro that I paid a few pounds each for from ebay, that have been working on pcs with no problem for well over a year. If they stop working tomorrow then I’ve had my monies worth.
Key reseller sites do seem to be getting more popular.

Thanks . 😃
Do Microsoft even care at this point? It feels like there are more OEM keys than Microsoft can manage. One of my machines at home has an OEM key from a Lenovo machine that I managed to activate on my custom machine for the past 5 years without a hitch.
Surely the real money savers are using kms tools?
Am i the only one with a legic key from a boxed version of Windows 10.

Because i feel so smug 😁
Surely Microsoft should just offer it by now for like £9.99 or something for the non-business user. Would have thought they'd make more than selling it at redonkulous amounts and thus having many folk turn to OEM/dodgy keys?

I must have been lucky, matching my last 5 excorporate keys against different laptops and desktops. #blessed.

Does not matter as long as you managed to activate it because it can only be activated once.
Personally I wouldn't activate windows and just live with the watermark which seems the only limitation. I have iMac bootcamped and cannot tell difference in windows without activation

I think they had home version for £30 from this magazine

No it doesn’t. You can use a Dell OEM key on an HP with no issues, etc. You can also reuse a Windows 7 licence from an old machine and digitally activate it - in fact I’m pretty sure it’s legit as it’s a real MS key, so guilt-free as you paid for a Windows 7 licence when you bought that machine. A scrapped machine and licence reuse is probably simpler and cheaper - didn’t the EU rule that this is perfectly reasonable use of a key and MS can’t block it?
Just an FYI If your upgrading from Windows 7 and do it as an upgrade rather than a clean install for me at least the past few times it automatically activates with a digital licence, on one laptop that I did a clean install on it wasn't automatically activated however I put the windows 7 key from the bottom of the laptop in and it activated windows 10
This seems a very good way to get Windows relatively cheaply and with a clear conscience. I wonder if MS will be cutting the price hence PC Pro selling it so cheaply?

Bitlocker might be handy, should your house ever get broken into and PC stolen. If you keep sensitive stuff on PC.
Any ways of getting Office for cheap?

Yes indeed. Paid a tenner on Amazon.
Standard Win10 is free to upgrade to using the Microsoft Media Creation Tool still. Have a Google. I had a laptop still runnng Win8 and upgraded it to Win10 the other day using that.

It's an interesting comparison I think. Flat out piracy and pay nothing or buy a "legit" key for full activation but the developer still doesn't see any money. I suppose the latter is the lesser of the two evils because at least you're activating it "properly" and not cracking it.
You can get genuine keys for a lot less than this this price is mad and overpriced.
"Go guilt free" good one !

Is this an update or a full windows 10
What to update my lenovo all in one to Windows 10
Is this suitable
I don't understand why people are happy paying £3-10 for a dodgy key. Why pay at all if you're happy using a dodgy key?

What do you have at the moment? Say it's Win 7, you should still be able to upgrade to Win 10 for free and therefore don't need this. This is really for a brand new installation although you could use it to upgrade a Home version to Pro if you really wanted to, probably not worth it though.
