Helpful if you've already got a Windows 7 or 8 licence

11milliseconds of looking at the link tells you:

Please note: this is an oem system builder license key and can only be redeemed during installation of windows 10.

ALSO NOTE: WINDOWS ISO FILE ARE NOT PROVIDED, YOU ARE PURCHASING A windows LICENSE KEY ONLY.

Hmmm, undecided on this one on whether its legit or not. Looks legit from what I'm reading.

https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/opiumpulses.com?stars=&page=1

Decent reviews (though, quite a lot of them are by people with 1 posts) but there are also comments about codes already been used and codes didn't work. Website also looks like something from the early 90s. They say they are related to FlyingBundle.com which was definitely legit. Don't like website sites that don't show proper contact details though. There's no address mentioned, telephone number or email (you have to use their form).

Anyone on here every used them?

legal keys...?

Probably not, unlicenced, contravening Microsoft's terms and conditions rather than illegal. Probably a good chance the key will be blacklisted at some point so something to consider.

nice find op, heat added

That's where you're wrong. Using the download tool, you can create a bootable USB stick or download a ISO DVD image ready to be burnt.

From there, you can directly install Windows 10, as long as you've got a Windows 10 key!

I've used them in the past for Windows 7 and 8. I've bought three keys, and they're still going strong. If they were going to be blacklisted, they haven't yet.

I bought a key from this site a couple of months ago, installed the key and it wouldn't except it I contacted them and within seconds I got a refund,When I had asked for a serial key that worked.

Isn't Windows 10 free, if so why are you paying for it!

Come on guys, you know this is shady.

I've bought software keys in the past, and they stopped working as they were "bulk licenses". Never again.

If you depend on your computer / photos / music / documents, pony up for Windows or go Linux. £10 Windows is fishy!

Only if you've got a Windows 7/8/8.1 key on your machine and then only until the 29th of July when you'll have to pay for it.

Upgrade from a legal copy of 7 or 8 is free for another month and a half. Windows 10 is around £50 to £60 to buy legally. edit: £99 for home or £189 for pro if you buy from MS...

Well yes you're right, you can indeed use the Win10 link to install Windows 10 if you have a product key or upgrade rights but you can also use it to install Win10 if you had a Windows 7 or 8 licence as well. We're both right. There, now both of us can feel superior

It's free until the end of July for the upgrade. If for some reason after that time you have to reinstall Windows, you'll drop back to whatever version of Windows you had before. You won't be able to upgrade to Windows 10 (Pro) unless you have a Windows 10 (Pro) key.

Not the case actually. The Windows 10 licensing is locked to your motherboard, so unless that dies you can reinstall Windows 10 as many times as you like. You can even reinstall it without the key too, since the hardware ID of the board is sent to Microsoft's activation service.

Great find OP! Thanks

As I understood if you reinstalled Win 10 you select you don't have a license key and it picks up the BIOS registration from the previous install. It's worked for me already as I upgraded then did a clean install.

Is this changing?

100% no.

Cheap for a reason,I bought W7 pro and W8.1 pro keys the last time this was posted. Not genuine and could not be activated.Worth a try if they work, otherwise get a refund or a key from them that will activate.Hot if it works for you.

It uses the hardware ID of your motherboard, nothing to do with BIOS registration, whatever you mean by that.

Fair enough. I build my own PCs, so I remembered I would get screwed over at some point. Well, yes, I know it's a bonus in the first place, but it'll just be easier to grab a "real" key.

Just so everyone knows.

I've purchased a key just now. I've then used it to activate my already installed free upgrade Windows 10 Pro.

And it's now taken.

So the key works. How long for, is anyone's guess. But I've got Window 7 and 8.1 keys from here, and they've been working for years!

I'm jealous of you Spanner. You can click, read and process information much faster than me. No matter how many times I've tried I can't get close to 11 ms. It takes me longer to put my specs on.

what's better? 8 or 10 ?

To be fair, I buy my keys from Reddit. Not only are they usually cheaper but they've been working for years too.

So when I upgrade my CPU/Motherboard I will roll back to Windows 7 retail? That's ridiculous.

they are also selling Win 7 Pro keys for £8.21, presumably this would be a better deal as you can upgrade to 10 Pro from there?
