Only a week to go !

There are a lot of different prices around for the full and upgrade versions but this is one of the best from a well known, reliable, retailer.

I don't mind if this goes cold as long as a few people are prevented from paying much higher prices.

I gave this info in this post: hotukdeals.com/ite…e-p

And as you will see from speedy79's post, it will be available on EBuyer for £60 this Sunday.

I already have this and cannot see many changes between this and vista. Plus, it is crashing most days which i certainly didnt get with vista. :x

there are a few places where it's a few quid cheaper , on a certain day etc, but the post was to remind everyone that it can be bought for £60 odd pound and not £149 like on Tesco direct.

All versions in the UK are full. There are no 'only' upgrades - pricing wise maybe, but the actual DVD will be full version as a fresh install is always advised.

luckyme, if you mean you have the RC version downloaded from the M$ website, then there is something wrong with your PC - not the software...

W7 is the best OS produced so far. I have been running it for weeks with no problems at all...

BTW I am an XP fan and hate Vista with a vengance! :x

No i have windows 7 ultimate, on disc, sent to me from microsoft

Ditto, Vista was the biggest piece of crap ever released by Microsoft, hence Windows 7! I'm an avid XP fan also but have to admit that Windows 7 works like a dream.

No BSOD's here and I've been using the RC for months, if I were you I'd start testing my hardware (memory in particular)

this is very confusing , there are many websites advertising upgrades , the pricing is different and there is even an upgrade sticker on the box.

So the unknowledgeable customer buys what he thinks is an upgrade and then gets all his files deleted :w00t:

Yep, in some cases.

It's just not possible to upgrade from XP straight to Windows 7. It needs to be a complete install from fresh. [though I'm not sure whether they will have a 'disclaimer' that you can only upgrade from Vista versions]...

Sorry am i missing something here ... I see the price on Dixons is £129.99 for the product code 818746
