Most probably the full retail, as upgrade versions are not yet available to the UK even to pre-order. I stand to be corrected though.

this is FULL retail version, please fix topic. it would say upgrade in the product name if it was an upgrade version, even tesco have written (full version) on their site.

Nice price though, just ordered.

here is a comparion between the different versions: http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/7043/43585373.jpg

Best price I've been able to find for Premium, sadly now out of stock :'(

Not technically correct. In a roundabout way correct.

The EU has banned Microsoft from including solely Internet Explorer and no other browser options with its operating system.

They gave them two choices,

1. include other browsers with Windows alongside still offering I.E.
Or
2. Remove I.E from the OS.

Guess which one MS went for.

So this means that upgrading from Vista/XP which obviously had the browser integrated is not possible so MS have just released a fresh install version at the same price as the upgrade.

This is not the case in America, in America for this price all they are getting is the upgrade CD.

so does the professional edition have all the kit the premium version does, know there were some differences between vista premium and vista business (media centre etc)

Yes, of course. Have a look at the list hajj_3 posted above.

The retail version is most likely to come with 2 DVDs of the version you've purchased, each containing a 32-bit & 64-bit version - i.e. 32-bit on one, 64-bit on the other.
