It's a good price but 1gb RAM is very limited. Useful if you know you want a portable full version of Windows otherwise I'd stick to android.

Not true, this is the 32gb version. The black Friday deal I believe was for the 16gb model.

Although I don't have this tablet, the linx 8 has similar internal specs. I found the linx works very well with only 1gb of ram, obviously it depends what you want to use it for. You can really connect it up and run as a full desktop/gaming etc, but for light tasks it is great. For £59 it seems a great deal.
Not true the black friday deal was 32Gb.
I bought one. This is the black friday deal.
My thoughts: android is far better than windows for mobile devices.
Can take upto 128Gb card.
Includes otg cable which is nice.
1Gb ram is ok, windows dont seem to need as much ram as android.
Poor battery life.
Does everything ok. Not bad or good but ok.
I paid £50, this is a little more. I would score it 6 out of 10 taking into the price increase.
I much prefer ios or android for mobile devices, i sometimes actually find it easier to use when i use it in pc mode rather than tablet mode so im always switching modes.
Includes office.
This is good deal for £60 but unless you want windows, i would recommend android even if it cost around the £100 mark.

Oops I checked the box on mine, it IS 16Gb
It also includes word mobile, excel mobile and PowerPoint mobile.
It supports 32Gb micro sd card but I have 128Gb and works great.
Micro hdmi
I also have a HP stream windows tablet, that is 32Gb, sorry for confusion.
Can any one tell me if this could use a 3G dongle to connect to the internet or will it only connect via wifi,my sister in law hasn't got broadband and would only be a very light user for eg Skypeing her son, thanks?

or would this be a better bet? http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_266237.html?wid=3
which with 9% code plus a possible 8% TCB or 10% Quidco comes to £59 ( I posted this tablet a few days ago )

No broadband??? Does she still scrub her clothes on rocks in the river?
Sorry just jesting.
Yes will work fine with mifi mobile router, your tablet will use that as a mobile 3/4G router instead of a home broadband. Some 4G is even faster than some home broadband but if you use a lot of data can be expensive.
A simpler solution is just to use a smartphone if all she to do is skype / wechat/ whatsapp/ facebook etc, she can use that anywhere and not have to carry tablets and mifi units around. Having to wait at home for calls or to carry tablets and mifi around sounds like hard work.
If you say she don't have a smart phone then I'm done.
Here is a review of my 16Gb version of this tablet
My thoughts: iOS and android is far better than windows for mobile devices.
States expansion upto 32Gb but I use a 128Gb card and works great.
Includes otg cable which is nice.
Charger is functional and looks a little cheap.
1Gb ram is ok, windows dont seem to need as much ram as android.
Windows 10 and include office, power point and excel mobile.
Screen is good but don't expect this to be anywhere as good as top end tablets.
Plays 1080p movies well, no pixelation and is pretty smooth. I've seen some more expensive tablets can't handle 1080p so this is pretty good.
Poor battery life. 3 and half hours watching 1080p movie, just over 5 and a half hours normal use, low brightness level, max volume.
Single speaker and need to be on max, it's pretty poor and weak, my smartphone is louder and clearer. An external bluetooth speaker would be a good upgrade.
Does everything ok. Not bad or good but ok.
I much prefer ios or android for mobile devices, i sometimes actually find it easier to use when i use it in pc mode rather than tablet mode so im always switching modes.
This is good deal for £60 and I would recommend it if this is the sort of thing you are after but if your budget can stretch to £100-£120 I would buy an android device from a branded manufacturer ( I know it's double the price but I think modern tablets even at £120 represent incredible value)
I would score it 6.5 out of 10 taking its low price into account.
Probably similar performance with a £100 budget smartphone.
If your expectations are not too high then I think you will be pleased with this purchase.
They are good budget tablets, they're not fast, but they are good, I have the Lynx 8 and 10 and they're good enough for me to use
Good spot OP

Good for streaming Xbox and Steam. Can plug a wired Xbox controller in using a USB Micro to standard USB Hub, which you can get for a quid or so on Amazon.

It might be good enough for light tasks.
Personally id buy a device with more ram even if its a bit more expensive.

I hadn't thought about a mifi unit,I had thought that a usb dongle might have worked via otg connection,I did consider a large smart phone, but she has little hands!

Does it come with office 365 subscription? tesco website does not mention it.
Be aware that support for these is terrible. Had a 10" version had probs, had to roll back to initial installation but drivers missing & couldn't get touchpad to work

If the same as the Black Friday one, then no. It comes with Office Mobile (Word/Powerpoint/Excel), which is free for devices with under 10.1inch screen size, such as this. If it had Office 365 I'm sure it would be mentioned.
