This is great and will allow any xbox owners who sign up to turn the xbox into a dev machine. This allows the use of emulators and apps not sanctioned by ms to be run on the xbox, you can switch between dev and retail at will and play loads of extra games. Nice find op.

Aw I would have actually been interested in doing some developing too …Aw I would have actually been interested in doing some developing too as I’m a CS (Computer Science) student and working with code.

As a student, you can get a free key for Microsoft Store publishing through Azure for Students.

Once you've created your account and verified your student status you can get the key from the Software dashboard.

There are no offers currently available for you. Check back later to see what you can earn. This is what I get after signing in. Thank you for posting, some heat from the lucky ones, but I hate this discrimination from MS, eBay, Amazon and whatever companies. I wonder what's their criteria?
Don’t need it, will most likely never use it, but you can be dam sure I’m going to get it.

Maybe some1 in my family can benefit from it

Like everyone else who just signed up

I wish someone would develop something worth having on the store, it's abysmal.
Probably never get around to using it but thanks. Signed up.

I think he's an ethical hacker.
Thank you O/P, it worked for me.

While I've no plans of releasing to the Windows Store it's handy to have. Windows, Visual Studio (Community) and C# seem about the easiest way to publish if you've no coding experience.

Just fyi, Android charge a one off $25 to publish but Apple charge a rip off $99 P/Y (considering they take 30% of any sales it's just a money grab). I've seen the Android fee waivered from time to time although I just paid it up front so keep an eye out for that.
No offer for me.
It must know I used Chromebook to sign in with.

Find a problem, create a solution. If someone else has solved it then do it different or better.

Ideas are not my problem, it's finding the time to do it.
Thanks for the heads up OP, singed up and heat added.
