Must be your bad fitting its as snug as can be on my Fiesta and my mothers Lotus.
Maybe you should get yours done in a garage then!

PS. If yours doesnt fit then perhaps you can remove the rubber and fit that in the old wiper blade?

Well there you go told you so you have fitted it errrm not exactly as the manual states on yer wee Corsa!
Perhaps you should leave it to the professionals dude!

What are you talking about? Of course poor wipers can cause accidents. Are you that stupid that you cannot understand this? Crap wipers, you cannot see out of the window, you crash? Let me guess, you buy cheap tyres too based entirely on those fictitious A-E ratings?

£16 is about what you should be paying for quality blades, a Bosch or similar. Halfords are no more expensive than online for quality. Sorry you cannot understand the idea that cheap isn't always the best option. Keep on cutting those corners - what can possibly go wrong.

Thanks OP I have bought Michelin Stealth Hybrid Wipers for a Quid each (Asda end of line) managed to get a spare pair as well. So it is possible to buy VERY GOOD wipers cheaply, Aldi were recently selling Michelin Rainforce wipers for £5 each (£10 pair) after a few weeks they had them reduced to £2.99 each so I bought wipers for my daughters cars and another spare pair for myself, would have been silly not too. I have bought cheap wipers from Euro Car Spares and will NEVER do so again as the squeaking noise (no matter how much rain) drove me nuts, kept telling myself it didnt matter, I had paid good money for them and I was keeping them till they needed renewing. 5 Months later I nearly cried when I got the Michelin stealth ones. LOL
It is possible to buy Michelin Flat Universal Rainforce Wiper Blades on eBay for about a Fiver each depending on size.

Lmao - the reason Halfrauds want £16 is because they are robbing barstewards
Hmm not really I have built my own cars - Dutton Phaeton S3, Dax Tojeiro so I do know a wee bit about cars - like checking your wipers before you go on a long drive or just checking them once a month.
Cannot see out of the window roflmao
By thje sounds of your car maintenance knowledge your car is probably coated in mud a n inch thick so in your case you are probably right but then most of us arent stupid and do look after our cars!

Dont go any further you are just digging yourself a hole!
Cheap tyres - some of them are actually quite good - You clearly know nothing about the industry and dont understand that some of those wipers in Halfords are actually made by the same people that punt the cheap ones - If one has nothing educated or better to say tis better to say nothing dude!

Google quality rubber dumbo there isnt such a thing unless you are talking about Vulcanised rubber.
Duh!

I bet your car has an induction kit fitted - roflmao

Been cutting those corners for 40 years - never even had so much as a parking ticket in 40 years so go figure!

How do you find the Michelin stealth? Planning to get a couple from Costco.
Obviously dependant on use but what would you say is the normal life span on a set of windscreen wipers? Had my car 8 years and only replaced them once.......?
My personal experience of cheap wipers blades is that they are a false economy.

Had cheap ones and they didn’t last very long before they were making a racket/not clearing as well.

At the other end of the scale I have had PIAA wiper blades fitted to my Mitsubishi Evo X and they are still going strong years later and they never make a sound and always do a great job of clearing the screen, but not cheap at just under £50 a set.

like I say this is just my personal experience, and I can’t comment on the actual deal wipers as I’ve never tried them

The rubber usually goes on the end of the wipers and you could end up with a scratched windscreen - 1 years max for the cheapos!

Still cheap factoring age vs price - 1 year £1.99 so £16 blades should last over 8 years to be on a par!
Depends how much you use em though!

There are also the new Silicone wipers @ £25 that are supposed to last longer not tried em so cant say!

Got these on my car, they are good, no noise and good clean screen.
I’ve used these before and they worked fine for the first month or so before they started to makes rubbing noises

Thats because most people dont know how to take care of them or use fairy liquid when they wash their car - rubber perishes when you dont use the correct fluid to wash your car thats why the rubbers around your windows go as well and let in water - clean the rubber with some vinegar once a month then it wont squeak or use the proper wiper cleaning fluid to protect the rubber (or b etter still just use silicone ones) - most people dont do any car maintenance at all then moan when something doesnt work - just laziness but thats Brits these days!
Good spot OP, thanks for sharing
I found a few in the clearance area of Wilko for £1.25 a few days ago.. Could be worth looking if you're near a wilko store!

Rubber perishes in contact with light....

I clean the glass in the car with Isopropyl alcohol, cleans all the grease/rubbish off the screen. Tried meths and vinegar but nothing seems to work better than iso. Also wash wipers with water and clean with a mcrofiber cloth. Also if the screen has chips and marks these wear/tear the rubber lip away. Nothing will stop that.

The reason i think is that these wipers are to fit cars wipers that are were the usual design 33655807-6ub3a.jpg
hence needing the height to keep the wiperblade arm in the right place.

Thanks for the tip, I will be giving that a go
These wipers are for 18 year olds who have just passed. I remember back in days I bought a pair and honestly they were so embarrassing than doing poo in toilet

How is an 18 year old who has just passed on going to drive if he is six feet under!
I guess he was using cheap wiper blades and it cracked the windscreen and jabbed him right through the eye causing a fatal head on crash - Blimey....maybe those wiper blades are dangerous after all.

Bought a set of these yesterday from B&M before going aldi and seeing the Michelin ones reduced to £2.99 each, couldn't be bothered taking them back as was a few miles away from the store. B&M ones look cheap but I ain't fitted them yet so can't say how they perform.
