There's a lot of these VPN providers doing these cheap long term deals recently, I wonder why
Also a free version which gives you 10gb per month

Is this VPN any good and my gosh £14 for 18 months is shocking.
I've been using windscribe for about 24 months and can't think of a reason to change. The addition of and android app recently is good too.

I've been using the free version which has been superb. It's a well known and highly regarded vpn. There are plenty of reviews online.
Speeds aren't great according to best VPN's review. Tempted to trial it though as this is a good price.
I got this deal yesterday as I was using the free version already.
It's actually for 20 months not 18, so it works out to about 70p per month.

Thanks I've updated that...
I use Windscribe and I love it, works great I got the lifetime subscription for about £22 just after black friday
They are good.

Also, you can use your pc to mine bitcoins in the background and exchange the points you gain for extra GB every month. Currently my free account gives me 500GB per month.

My work pc is pounding away as we speak too
Heat added. Tried the free version without having to give an email address (limited to 2 GB download) was able to test the free servers and some of them were up to the same speed as my current VPN, PIA. Thanks OP.
why the cheap deals with vpn's
Can these VPN's really be trusted? Would you be happy logging on to your banking through one of these?

But that's only with the chrome extension? No Netflix server on the Android app as far as I can see.
I've been using Windscribe for around 3 months now and have found it to be good. Overall the speeds are good for a VPN. They do a lifetime subscription at various places as well. It worked out at $39 using the discount code WINDSCRIBE20.
14 eyes? Logs? Torrent?
Since Kodi went to crap, I don't see the point of this (apart from US Netflix)

Worth it for US Netflix alone though do you think?
It really depends on what other streaming services or general access to stuff you have. They definitely get more content than UK netflix. You do also have to consider that Netflix are quite active in trying to block VPN's so there is no guarantee's how long it will work for.
It's based in a "5 eyes" country... So secure it ain't :-(

If you're going to put all your eggs in one basket, dont let the us/UK government carry it.

Kodi is exactly the same as it's always been, I assume your refering to the free add-ons which have always been rubbish. If you want something decent you need to pay for it

I hope so, it is a good way to get something extra for free.

Although technically, your pc will be using more power and you electricity bill will be slightly higher

Does this allow you to access US Netflix for free or do you still need a subscription? If free, is there a guide and is it easy to do? Sorry I'm a bit of a novice on this.

WINDSCRIBESD40

Just googled this deal. $29.40 for lifetime.

Will it work if I don't buy the subscription directly from windscribe?

Also it is just a one off payment isn't it? 🙈

No, you still need to purchase Netflix. The VPN allows you to connect to the US servers instead of the UK one. You used to be able to manually change your DNS settings on your device, but Netflix realised people were doing this and figured out that you'd done it. VPN is the only way to hide your true location and fool Netflix.
What does this do that I can't do using the Chrome extension Hola VPN or the Tor browser which has its own VPN and are both free?
