Love the sax "Night Boat To Cairo"

Obviously my favourite by my avatar, I actually borrowed a sax when I was younger to try and it was this song's sax blast that I could only manage, still resisting to buy this, but very tempted...
The half price offer is valid til midnight Sunday.
"the gunners dream" pink floyd, some good old sax in that tune !!!
Unless you can read sheet music and have a good teacher, I guarantee that you will give up in a week. Especially with a £100 sax that will sound awful even if you're very good - and you won't be for another 4/5 years. Just personal experience!
It's a £230 sax, for half price. So £115 . then add a Yamaha 4c mouthpiece (£25) and some nice reeds (£7) you will have a nice pleasant sounding instrument that has cost very little. Follow some youtube tutorials and you will soon be jamming along to backing tracks and having lots of fun.

Seriously considering this, would you happen to have links to the above? Ta.
The perfect gift for the kids of someone you hate.
I always knew I wanted a saxophone .....(but didn't realise that I did until I saw it at this price !!)

Like that Miley Raspen Carrots track run away with me, just for the sax.

They sell both items on Amazon, put Yamaha 4c into the search. As for reeds, people have different preferences as there are lots of different sizes and brands. I would try a few different ones and see what u like best.
To save time, upon delivery of the Windsor Alto saxophone, simply keep it in the box and carefully store it unopened in your attic. This will save you time and money when you come to sell it unused on EBay in six months time to a precocious boy from Hemel Hempstead.

Haha, jokes aside, as long as u keep this in good condition you will be able to sell used for at least £120, if not £150
This will be fine up to grade 3 or 4. I agree get a Yamaha 4c mouth piece and then for a start I would get try Vandoren reeds and Nico reeds. Nico I think are better once you progress and start using a strength of 3 and above.

What size reed do you recommend for starters 1.5 or 2? How important is the ligature? Will the one included work ok with the 4c mouthpiece? Thanks

1.5 for a new starter definately, the Yamaha 4c alto mouth piece will work perfectly. I would then recommend going to a Yamaha sax later as they are excellent.
Do you think Amazon will price-match?

Do you think Amazon will price-match?

Amazon don't price match on request, the sale finishes on Sunday night as far as I can tell.

Amazon don't price match on request

They do allow you to tell them about a lower price which could lead to a price-match. I was asking because this is a special offer which they may or may not match. I was just hoping someone would have some experience of Amazon matching something like this.
Tried to expire the deal as the price is now back at £229.99 maybe a mod can take care of this, I have a few old deals that need expiring.

My sax arrived today, everything working, finish is a bit rough but sounds really good
