Winmau Blade 5 Board and Xtreme Surround Set £35.99 @ Argos

Last darting based post I promise.

This is a bargain as other places online charge around £30 just for the surround.

Includes blade 5 board, surround, 2 sets of what I assume are brass darts and an oche line.

Was £44.99.

And its Fat belly gut bucket at the oche.
Anyone remember that.
Hot btw

need a new board! hot!

That's a top deal, I bought the Blade 4 around this time last year, and it cost me an arm and a leg (relatively speaking) for one of those surrounds that comes with this. Obviously it didn't come with any 'arrows' either. Proper bargain, heat added.

OOoo...and he's straight in with a double brandy

Hahahaha

Great find! 🏻

Got this last week. It is a great saving as the surrounds are bloody expensive if bought separately.

Ordered thanks ! Spudgun and Dave Hedgehog are over next week so hope it arrives in time

Now that’s a real sport with real athletes!

Puts chris froomes achievements to shame...

I presumed the "Xtreme Surround Set" was a speaker system reading out the scores! I had a digital one that did this (onnnnne hundred n eiiiiiiiiiiiighty!) but the darts would sometimes not land in the small holes so it got annoying. Winmau is (was?) a good brand but this seems expensive for what this is, same brand without the protector and darts is typically 20 and the "pro" version with cabinet is usually 45 and those are better buys.

You are right in that yes you can by a winmau board for £20 but the blade 5 hasn't been as low as that AFAIK.
Breaking this down the board itself is £25.49, I'm almost certain it comes with the Mark Webster darts at £5.49 so it's effectively £5 for the surround which would retail at £30ish.

I had the Ted Hankey home darting set myself but the quality wasn't there, then on to a winmau masters which was good but now the darts fall out it has been used so much (and turned regularly) and had fancied a blade for a few years so it seemed a good buy considering the surround comes with it. I use mine on a stand so I would recommend a surround in that case, can't really attach a cabinet to a stand, well you could but it'd look a bit odd.

Proper Bo!

1 hundred and eightyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy KG.

Heat. Love the darts! Do remember Sky mid-90s, using in-game slowmotion shot replays to Let Loose’s Crazy For You, with less than athletic face wobble and everything! Not cool.

To be fair, Phil The Power has pretty much single-handedly raised the profile. Sport? Maybe. Skilful? Certainly.

Oh and that's a bad miss

Keep out of the black and into the red, nothing in this game for two in a bed.....oh sorry wrong game lol

I'd need an 8 foot square surround

Just noticed the one in the cabinet +darts for £39.99...good price as well...£73 on Amazon

Personally I'm waiting for the dual core board to come down in price.

What sort of stand do you use? I'm debating where to put a dartboard in the house

Super, smashing, lovely, great

I use this which is effectively a modified speaker stand but does the job, look up eBay number 311890165291 for the sort of thing, I paid around £30 at the time but prices change frequently.

good price that
love the Blades, proper quality boards

I went to a celebrity charity darts event years ago. Phil Taylor started 20, treble 20 and the third dart bounced out and hit Mother Teresa right between the eyes.........One nun dead and eighty!

This is a great deal, shame I dont need a dart board or surround, the next thing on my darts wish list is this
