Went in to Argos to pick up a Winmau Blade 4 after reading the recommendations on here. They brought out the Blade 5 from the warehouse and said it's replacing the Blade 4 in Argos. (Blade 5 is not even on their website yet).

I'm no darts expert, it's been many years since I owned a Dartboard, however thought this might be a good deal as the Blade 5 is over £30 everywhere else right now.

It's possible this might not be the case in all store, but worth a try.

too much like hoping for chance to be a deal

Store I went to was Biggleswade.

Just now had a message from a mate who went to Welwyn Garden City and the same thing happened. Ordered a Blade 4 and they brought out a Blade 5. Of course stocks in stores may vary.

Even a Blade 4 at £19.99 seems a good deal.

These are excellent boards , they last far longer than the eclipse pro i used to get .
The treble twenty would be worn out after a couple of days .;)

same thing happened to me in the Hempstead Valley Store

don't the wires rotate anymore? (genuine question, not played for years)

Looks like they do, on the Blade 5, from the box.

Check twitter if you don't believe it, loads of stores have done it.

Only reason I didn't post myself was to keep it quiet, in case they bump the price

Yeah you can still spin it round and wear out a new treble 20.

Bought one this morning and got the blade 5 as well. Thetford store.
Cheers OP.;)

You see the unicorn boards wear out during a match where players use grip points. The winmau boards seem to hold up much better.
