Yeah, a 2 million installed base is definitely a fad

Where can you buy this for £14?

The price will get jacked next week I imagine.

Spot on. I recently played the VR trackmania levels that are free to download and I felt my stomach turning within two minutes and had the worst VR-related motion sick experience yet.

I find when my view is behind and focused on the vehicle with surroundings whizzing by, even a slight 'drop' like on a rollercoaster plays murder with brain signals, and brings on motion sickness.

Hot deal for those who aren't motion sick wimpy because like Thumper, I bet this would be a visual treat in VR but certainly not for the weak

Never have motion sickness on vr. This will be bonkers!
Holy crap, this will be amazing!

Yeah, got it digitally and only played an hour or so, wish I'd done my homework on it, it's just too dam fast for my eyes and leaves me feeling sick, the vr version would probably kill me.

If you change the control scheme in RIGS to analog stick to look around, that’s what you call motion sickness to the extreme.

More a freebie than a deal really but good news anyway. WIsh i'd grabbed it at £12.99 now rather than prey (which isnt all that)

Too bad I won't be able to play this, Skyrim VR makes me sick within 5 mins so can't imagine how bad Wipeout VR would be.
Never tried any VR stuff before, but Wipeout made me queezy playing normally so I think I'd throw up in seconds with VR

Heat added though!

Have you tried it with the Move controllers? The movement feels a lot more natural and less motion sickness inducing.
Wipeout in VR with a flight stick would just be THE BEST.

No I haven't got the Move controllers yet, I will get them soon though as I know you also then have the option of teleporting if nausea still persists (can't teleport with DS4)

If your into it you might want to grab a ps3 move steering wheel cheap before they go the way of the move controllers. (if its compatible that is?) no psvr here so no testy.

Its £16.59 at base that's the cheapest price now i think.
I got sick within a few seconds playing this in cinematic mode, so doubt I could handle vr mode. Will definitely give it a try though

Trust me, if you rent one, you'll end up buying one. It's not a fad and the studios are ramping up.

A fad lol.

Would suggest you actually look at the support VR is getting.

VR is nothing like 3D.
Another 2D Game conversion/patched?, a sign of the times, publishers seem reluctant to commit to VR after 3D. Virtual Reality as a topic of conversation just raises eyebrows and smirks. Just buy the game for its 2D value.

These aren't compatible with any PSVR games.

Walking is puke inducing for me, racing isn't. You might be okay.

I'm hyped, but also surprised patches count as deals now.

Since when was this a 2D game?

It's not a conversion, just a different way of viewing it. Like most games these days (and for the last 20 years), the game is rendered in 3D first - if you're watching it on a 2D TV then it's your TV that's flattening the image, effectively converting it from 3D to 2D. If you're watching it on a 3D TV then you're seeing it as it's rendered, and if you're watching it in VR then you're seeing it as it's rendered with peripheral vision. All the VR update will be for is things like making sure they've got the FOV right and optimising performance.

Sadly not they confirmed via the live stream this morning that sick bags are not provided what a rip off!

I guess it depends who you're talking to. Snobs said (and still do say) the same thing about gaming in general. Personally I couldn't care less what such people think, they're too narrow-minded to see the potential. Pretty much anyone I've met who's tried VR has been impressed by it, even with the current-generation limitations.

Cockpit games are pretty fine in VR.
I feel sick for a good few hours after 5 mins of moving on resident evil. The thought of playing it makes me feel sick. Very annoying because it’s great!
This could provide a much more convenient and clean way to enjoy bulimia.

Im a gamer and a fan of pretty much every gimmick ever tried....

my mate at work got the VR I tried several games and just think the technology is too far behind the ambition - I love the idea of VR and VR is the ultimate way to game.....

unfortnately - for me at least - PSVR is nothing like VR should be. I know two people that have bought it and both regret it but stick with it and keep buying games - once you’ve invested I guess you have to defend it and support it (God knows I’ve done that plenty) but apart from having sharks swim round your head I’d say psvr is anything but impressive

all that being said with future releases it could be awesome

motion sickness Is a real thing and for many many users

Did you get motion sick?
Different strokes for different folks, but playing RE7 in VR was revelatory for me, even with the PS VR limitations. The tech still has a way to go, but we're not that far off the ideal:
kickstarter.com/pro…set
This in VR, custom Spotify playlist and downing a couple of cans of Red Bull beforehand.

We're living the dream.

I had one two weeks. Was amazing for a few days then sent it back. Don't bother even at £150. Too many wires, headsets heavy, tracking issues, sickness, needs to warm up if your room is cold etc etc. VR will be great in 10 years when we have wireless headsets with built in tracking. Anyone telling you to buy one secretly regrets having a £400 paperweight

I just saw this in my local Grainger Games for £15 new. It was one of their deals of the week. Might help someone looking for a cheap physical copy.
