SnobAlso never understood a detachable cable when it doesn’t work without

It can be handy. Many things that break on controllers are the cables. People tend to wrap them up around the controller that breaks it.

You can also use different lengths with this that can be good for some situations.
Yes, in 2020 some people still prefer wired controllers, one reason being they believe it reduces input lag.

Whether it does is debatable... in theory it probably can... but in practice it is doubtful the difference would be noticeable.

That said, if someone thinks having a wired controller gives them an edge, that belief alone may give them the edge they sought.

Personally, out of the 3 gamers in our home, 1 uses a wired controller, 1 uses a wireless controller & the other uses their wireless controller permanently plugged in (set to USB).

With regards to the deal, £14.99 seems a good price for a controller (in 2020), so heat added.

Wired controller in 2020?

It's a good cheap controller. Most wireless controllers for the switch are £40-60 so it's good if you're on a budget. ^_^

The Mario design one of these I bought I've barely used and the left stick has started to drift, after googling it seems a common issue with these Power A controllers

Does it work on PC? And how is the controller? Could do with a backup/2nd player controller for PC
Micro USB in 2020? Come on..
Lovely colours.

Never broke any of mine and I've been gaming since the late 80's.

Wired controller in 2020?

I know, I can't understand people paying £280 for a modern console, then using a wired controller. It just seems wrong.
How about 'people still not realising that other people might have different budgets / needs / cares in 2020?'

Seriously, if people are happy with a cheap wired controller for multiplayer or something, then stop telling them that they need or should have something different

I get your point about broken cables... can’t say I’ve had that in a controller. It’s obviously been a while I’ve been wired

Any controller work on PC, use antimicro software, that lets you map individual keys on any controller to the keys of keyboard.
I think it's to reduce any chance of someone tripping over the cable.

Oh well in that case you better post it
Will this work on a PC? If so, how does this compare to an XBox controller for Windows? First hand comparisons preferred
All these wired and wireless PowerA controllers have the left stick drift issue and occurs quite early in the controllers life. Reviews on Argos and Amazon are full of these complaints.

Yeah I bought one of these and if you plan to use it for any stick heavy games like Smash it just won't hold up, easily gets stick drift after a few weeks of use.

I couldn't get it to work on PC with steam big picture. Xbox feels a lot more premium and has held up for much longer than this one did. Had my Xbox one for several months without any issue (heavy use and dropped it many times) however the powerA only lasted a couple weeks. Only downside to Xbox is its battery powered but some rechargeable or battery pack fix that issue.
Thanks for posting, we have added this to the Highlights section
Going to give this a try with Cuphead in my car - thanks OP!
I need a wireless controller that works with my Philips Android TV, any suggestions pls?
By the way, anyone who has one of these controllers already where stick drift is happening, if you fill in a form on the customer services bit on the PowerA website they'll post you out a new one. I know it's not a great long term solution to the problem but they seem aware enough of it to do it with little hassle
