They've got the dates wrong on the website - the March 2011 issue is onsale 03/02/11

sorry its 2011 (its going to take me all year to remember its 2011 now not 2010 lol)

my confirmation email states it starts 3/3/11

but if i get it 3/2 brilliant

Good work, thanks.

Excellent spot, many thanks!

Used to be a brilliant magazine when it first hit the streets a l-o-n-g time ago but then it sold out to a major publisher - Conde Nast - and went straight down the pan. Haven't read it for quite a while and so am wondering what it's like now? Anyone care to share any insights please?

Much obliged.....

I liked it when the new magazine launched. However, I feel like the quality has dropped (now that I'm locked into a subscription haha) - for some reason there doesn't seem to be as much good content in the magazine.

Also, I am worried - they have increased advertising in the magazine as far as I can see (e.g. double page story features etc), that along with this cheap deal is quite fishy - I think the magazine is struggling to be honest.

I dunno, maybe my interests have changed a bit, has anyone else had the same experience as me?

Smoking hot! Superb magazine and now just over a quid an issue. Thanks for posting.

Give them a call and see if you can shift onto the 2-year deal for the extra few quid.

I took out a year's subscription not long after it launched, which I then renewed in the middle of last year at £24. A day later, I had a marketing e-mail from them advertising this two year deal at £28. I called up and they just let me pay the £4 difference to extend by a year.

At £2 an issue, it was already quite an attractive subscription. At barely over a quid a month, it's a bargain.

great deal... though i wonder if it'll still be around in 2 years

Banned

I'll also echo the doubt over the magazine being around long enough to see out the subscription service. The last time they launched it over here it failed and I think the same will happen again sadly. It's never been as good as the US edition was a few years ago.

I think its the most intelligent magazine out there

Its definitely a conde nast product - as you can see from GQ now stealing some of the same formatting

I would buy this but already subscribe

I used to get this last year - at first it was good, but then the quality of the content seemed to drop. In the end I felt like there were just writing about nothing in particuar, especially front page articles on ideas and theories, which were just intreviews on a couple of peoples ideas on what may or may not happen. In the end I got bored with it, especially as the advertising is massive and all aimed at men (im a lady!). The front covers are always on good paper though. Just my opinion on it from last year if it helps....

Its programmes like that (intelligent, informative, focused on the subject) that got in the way of presenters being able to get all the attention. Where would we be without the likes of Clarkson having a laugh (are there still any cars in his show?) and gadget show presenters WHO LOVE A CHALLENGE!

Absolutely my feelings which is why I asked about current content quality. When launched in the US (yes, I'm old enough to have read it then :D) it was bleeding edge in its contents and it seems to have been nothing but a scab since it arrived on this side of the Atlantic and so I really would like to know please why it *is* worth even a quid an issue??

LOL love this, nothing gets me shouting at the telly like the 'so close' challenges that prove nothing about the 3 cameras they are 'testing'

On topic, picked up a copy for a recent journey and did find myself flicking past or skimming most of the articles, still can't argue with the price! 3 G's rating from me

No. Read the las issues, waste of time :-(

Is this for the UK or US version?

Ah, the cover image that is shown on is for the UK Feb 2011 issue (http://www.wired.co.uk/magazine/archive/2011) so I guess this offer is for the UK version.

Have to disagree with a lot of the comments so far as I love this magazine - there well may be some articles that you're not interested in but then that is the case with most magazines. You'll get at least a couple of hours a month out of it, and for just over a quid I can't see how you can go wrong. Mine goes round the office after I've finished with it and the response is always positive. That said, I work in an IT department...

Quality has dropped off a fair bit since launch, but this deal is half the price of my previous subscription.....quality has not reduced by 50%, so I see it as a good deal. Just re-subscribed, thanks yippekaya, MF!

Anyone used magazine boutique before ?

Are they ok with personal details etc ?

Got my first issue today

got mine too. awesome deal.... not sure why there were some moaners. Its just over a pound an issue

Offer still valid? Because I just put an order through for the 2 year subscription and it seemed to work...(at least I got an email to confirm).

Can I/Someone un-expire this?

I also have just put 2 year sub through so offer still going strong.

About the content, I agree that the quality of the UK edition content has dropped since launch and even at launch it didn't seem to be as good as the US version but it's still one of the best mags out there.
