Anyone know if this is like a pro controller? Is it as good or would I be better off getting a pro?

The pro is pretty much the best controller for the Switch, hands down. On the other hand however is it almost 3x better than this controller? Probably not. The only real disadvantages here is the lack of an internal battery, which isn't an issue if you are already invested in rechargeables. The lack of NFC isn't really an issue when you can just grab a joy con and do it that way if you need to.

These controllers review very well and i would be all over it if i actually liked the design.

Thanks guys, that's very helpful! my boy would love the design as he is pokemon mad, is there any kind of charging dock for this one or would I have to remove the batteries and charge separately?

These pads are great to play with for however long they last. Had two that didn't make it past 3 months, and I don't exactly throw them about... I'll stick to Pro Wireless in future.
