Wireless interconecting smoke alarms.
These were £12.99 each for both the rf transmitting & receiving base and the smoke alarm today I bought them
for alarm £4.99 and the transmitter £9.99.
The alarm can be used on the own but with the transmitter it will send a signel to all the other alarms and they will all go off. So if you have a large house one in the kitchen, livingroom, bedrooms, and one in your bedroom then if one goes off downstairs then everyone will know.
If you buy 3 sets of alarms £44.94 then there is a handling charge of £5.95 but add a drill bit or somthing then items over £45 is free

10530 10yr Lithium Battery Smoke Alarm
10754 RF Base
These are the item numbers
£24 = £12 per item was the cost originally now down to £15 for both

I like this item seems pretty handy and a 10 year battery! dont ever need to fiddle with that beast Hot, no i mean keep it coool no fires (ah that was lame)
Nice one..I was just off to B & Q today to get some fire alarms....So I just bought 2 base and 10 alarms for a couple of houses for less than £70...
Can't vote this anything but hot.

Peeps - if you ain't got one - but one .. NOW. Death is a very real alternative.

If you can't afford one - give something up. There's NO excuse for not having fire alarms in the house.

Also - may this post serve as a timely reminder for all to double check their batteries in their alarms - go check it - BEFORE you reply or vote).
Voted Cold.

Hardly a bargin when fire alarms are free from your local fire service.

Not always - only some authorities provide them free of charge - most will charge a nominal fee (about £5 per unit). Plus, usually you have to be "at risk" - ie, low income, eldery etc etc.

You would'nt get much sympathy from a Fire Authority if you were winging for 10 free Fire Alarms for your 10 bedroom mansion. :whistling:

Don't forget that you can also connect these via a base box and they come with a 10 year battery life so saving on 9 volt batteries!

Hardly a bargin when you've been cremated in your own home either.
