Can anyone explain why the "goto deal "link wont work

I have typed it correctly it should be maplin.co.uk/Mod…584

Everytime I post a Maplin deal the link (for me) always goes to some batteries!

The design looks ingenious! Don't like the price so.

Cleared your cookies & cache?

i got one of these a few months back when it had been reduced from £50 down to £40...works great on the PS3...bit thin and flimsy though, try not to snap it

nice device, to entice yer wife to an easy life. Engadget has a bit more on it - it's called the iPazzport , which is a terrible name, quite belying its thought-throughness.

I prefer Salling Clicker however - one of the best, yet little known, mobile phone apps. Uses bluetooth to control your PC/Mac's iTunes, Powerpoint, also Web browser, Climate Change and Tiger Woods' love-life, all through an easy interface. Less devices = simpler life, and it's cheaper.

Nice and handy bit of kit, thanks.

I only posted this product because I thought it would be great to use with something like an Acer Revo sat down by the TV and just a little keyboard so that you can access the Web and e-mail on your TV. Or I suppose if the range is OK, you might be able to use your desktop from another room and video stream the images to you TV???

Ok It is expensive, but all gadgets are expensive.

The engaget link tells you more than the Maplin site and it looks quite usable :-D

I think its only being voted cold due to the price rather than inovation

I havent looked very hard but I cant seem to find it any cheaper

Dont forget with Maplin there is Quidco cash back and possibly free delivery
:santa:

Does the link work for you?

I have just tried it from a different PC and I still get some NiCad batteries...and no P-e-t-e, I dont need batteries :-)

Maplins always does that, something about the way they do their links.

Saw this a few weeks ago. Not sure what to make of it really. Maybe if I tried one I might like it but I think a keyboard/mouse is pretty good still.

That's one nasty layout. I think I'd rather just have a normal compact sized keyboard with a built in trackball or touchpad, they're not really that big.

Indeed Tkye! Just purchase a Revo and was looking for something like this. Heat and rep added lad! :-D

I was going to buy one of these from maplins but decided as I was using for my media PC in my living room that size wasn't that much of an issue so I got one of these instead.

You sure the joystick is a good idea?

Got one yesterday as a prezzy, plugged into my Revo (Ubuntu Karmic) and it worked straight off. For what it is, it's perfect. If I get a regular remote for this machine it will be in addition to this not instead off. Having a qwerty kb and track pad in such a handy format is great. Good range too.

I bought this yesterday after reading this thread. Super quick delivery from Maplins, arrived this morning.

Its a bit flimsy, and could do with slightly better button mapping (why have the four arrow keys in different places?) and certainly wouldnt be used as a replacement keyboard and mouse if you have a media laptop tucked under your tv. However its a nice little gadget that I do envision using since im generally too lazy or cold to get up and start faffing, so im happy I got it.

For the price, I wish it was built far better than it is - if this thing gets wedged down the side of the sofa and my rotund grandmother sits on it, its all over :-(
