Looks like a good deal this, but can someone clarify this...

Can this be linked to my existing home phone (not Skype) somehow and be plugged into my PC's USB (i.e. be used as part of my home phone line)? Also how does Skype work - who can I call and what does it cost?

Sorry for all the 'Mr Thicky' questions !!

Been looking for something like this but this one seems a bit rubbish for Skype as it's not standalone.
ie you need to plug the base into a PC already running skype so this is basically a wireless mic/speaker, rather than a wireless skype client.

Anyone know any cheap proper standalone units?

I have one of these that I bought from 7 day shop about a year ago (it was limited stock then!)

@cpandk - it can be linked to both your landline and skype at the same time. It has a skype button on the front and you can either enter a number or access your skype contacts. With skype you can call other skype accounts (for free) or call other phone using skype out (costs). I personally have a skype subscription - all the options are on the website www.skype.com.

I found that when the product worked it was great but about 2 months ago it packed in - so im a bit questionable about the build quality - but saying that sound quality was good and it only cost me about £17 delivered......

Hope this helps!

I have one of these. Great for the money. Surprisingly good build quality. Software is a bit annoying; when closed it likes to launch itself and Skype quite randomly. Also, it does require the computer to be on when being used as it has no inbuilt Skype capability.

Does anyone know roughly how long they take to deliver?

I have bought one and it is very good, it took a 3-4 days to deliver. The only problem I had was the installation software did not work but I manage to find it in the doro website. Excellent value for money...
