Is this instore only?
Voted hot for the £50 price but no idea who would pay the full RRP of £120 when you can get the real deal Echo for less.

both in-store and online. free delivery as well
Brilliant price as did not realise how useful it can be to keep kids busy. Ask claver questions to Alexa. Parents don’t need to google and answer. Hope it’s current model as not sure if it can be latest at such great price. Order online.
Gen 1 or Gen 2?
The pictures look like the first gen.
RRP of £120 - they are having a giraffe !
Hold on. I've just realised, these aren't Echos at all. They're an unbranded wireless speaker with Alexa voice control.
Do people actually realise these aren’t actually anything to do with Amazon but some Chinese copycat product. I wouldn’t pay £5 for it!!

Yes, they do. Nobody said it was ECHO. It's your choice and it's good for you if you can efford only branded products, but you should realise not everybody can. So it's still a bargain.

why are you commenting on this? as said its not an echo. back in the day i wanted an mp3 player so considered an ipod....bought a sony mp3 player as it was 1/3rd the price did what i needed. ppl know they get what they pay for. some ppl like to pay to be smug about branding.

Some ppl realise sometimes your just paying above the odds for what you need because the ad that said it was shiny...
I don’t know what the fuss is about! The description was clear from the first few lines that this isn’t official Alexa speaker. It’s not the posters fault if people don’t read description. If it works and sounds decent, what’s the problem
Oops. That’s fake Alexa..........Hope they accept my cancellation request. I better wait for next sales and get original brand.

Maybe because you have to pay a monthly fee to listen to music on the echo
Cheers OP. Ignore the ignorant comments.

Well, basically the RRP in this case is to make you think you're getting a great deal (big savings) but it's just a ruse.
I've read theses's won't work with some of the smart devices. Also the commands don't work on certain Amazon devices. Werther this is true I'am unsure But if it's any thing like the Bush Model for get it....
Have they actually sold this at £119.99?

The preorders were at £69.99 a month or so ago.
Yup Well done op wish i had seen this before i got my echo dot+speaker case (total £70)
These really are quite rubbish, you'd do better getting a Dot and hooking it up to some speakers.

The value of these would only be in the speaker quality rather than the Alexa part. If the speakers are no good you may as well use The likes of Siri / Google now on your phone instead. Or get a cheap Bluetooth speaker:
Anyone any ideas if this sounds any good?

No you don't. You can use TuneIn for radio, use Spotify free, play whatever you've bought from Amazon if a digital copy or steam music via a bluetooth device. There's nothing free on this device which isn't free on the Echo.

I'm sure I read a review of this and it said the speakers weren't as good as the Echo but the biggest difference was that the mics didn't pick up your voice as well as the Echo especially at a distance or when you had music playing.

As I said before this is good if you want to save the extra £40 otherwise you're better off with the Echo.
