Add all of them as I'm lost lol drawn to hive for some reason..
Thermostat 2 Heating & Hot Water is £89.17.

I've had Wiser setup for over 6 months now, only just got it working reliably (fingers crossed). My hub has really poor range to WiFi and thermostats. May be just my unit.
App functionality is also very limited.

I would probably go for Tado

I would get in touch with them about the range. I've had this for over a year and not had any problems with range where my hub is situated in the bottom corner of the house and the furthest thermostat is in the top corner of a 3 storey house.
I installed this in my house last year and it's worked perfectly. It's probably more basic than some of the others but was also cheaper. The heat report function is quite interesting and you can always add individual smart TRV's at a later date for more functionality. I'd recommend it. No issues with range/signal strength in 4 bedroom largish detached house.

Same here to an extent. Accessing the heat when out and about literally hasn't worked for over 8 months so just gave up for now, but will be on the phone to them this week to sort it now the temperatures are dropping. Even accessing the heating from my phone in the house probably works 1 in every 10 attempts, always says it can't find Hub R. The odd thing is, Alexa can activate the heating every time when asked so the Hubs connectivtiy to wifi can't be an issue.
Has anyone noticed the Drayton Multizone Kit 2 for conventional boilers is also on deals of the day on amazon? I really wanted to get the kit 1 for combi boilers as it comes with 2 smart radiator thermostats so is cheaper than buying this individual thermostat + 2 radiator valves separately

I have the same issue between hub, room thermostat and rad valves. They do have a range extender plug which i've been considering (pricey I think), but am wondering if this is an actual problem wih this product?
Older versions of their app actually showed how good the signal was but they've removed that in newer releases.

Also, eco mode doesn't quite make sense to me as some rooms don't heat up and the app just displays eco mode. Am also unsure whether the rad valve temperature readings are accurate.

Nope, still showing signal strength on the newest app version

Wish they did offer on rads thermostats

Signal shows on my app too.
Set up kit 2 with 12 rad valves 2 thermostats and 1extender plug (doubles as a smart plug and range extender).
Very happy with my setup. Very easy to get up and running.

This is what I mean:

They had this option until Version 2.10.1, available from apkpure.

As you can see, it shows signal strength between the hub and rad valve and room thermostat as well.

Worth trying the older version to troubleshoot signal issues:
apkpure.com/wis…ion

Not sure how you would troubleshoot without buying a signal extender though!

To be honest never had problems with signal but worth trying older app just to have a look how strong the signal is
Thanks for that!
Edit
Just tried older version, noticed really how quick is connection to the hub while on mobile internet. Just wow!

Same here, have had no problems, signal extender/plug quite often has been removed from the socket and rads still switch on/off. Older version of app showing signal to each termastat looks good, wonder why they removed facility.

This is mine constantly, ‘no signal’

Odd that they decided to hide signal strength. Signal strength and lots more information (e.g. humidity) is available in the data that the devices send so why not show it!

The hub signal indicator is probably a wifi issue, try moving the router to test this or use different wifi channels.

It is wifi yes, done all that. All devices even in the same location work perfect. Just not the wiser.

Also have issues with the thermostats as well.

Make sure your WiFi running 2.4Ghz not 5Ghz
Also quick question regarding boiler setup.
What temperature shall I set for heating on the boiler itself ? I have oldish boiler with knob to set up rads temperature. Shall turn it into max and let the wiser control it ?
Edited by: "adi23232323" 22nd Oct 2019
Had Wiser for about 1 week. Unreliable connection to TRVs made me give up on it. Happy with Nest now but would have liked to be able to control individual radiators as well.
Is it just me or has the price gone back up?

Not an expert: I don't think you should set it to max then control via wiser as that would mean the boiler is firing on full cylinders but you only require a lower temp. Am pretty certain that's how the vaillant engineer set mine up. I think he even lowered some settings as my boiler was bigger capacity for the size of the house.

Seems a lot of people have some sort of signal issues.

Was thinking hive as I know that had a thermostat that connects to the boiler the same and something downstairs like she has now but better and more reliable..

This is what she has now but its packed up...

Hi, I was having major issues with not being able to connect to mine with the app on WiFi or cloud, but somehow Alexa could always control it. Contacted Drayton and they have told me how to fix it and it now works.

Sign out of the app

Disconnect the WiFi on your phone

Sign back in the app on 4g

Problem fixed!

The app now works on cloud and WiFi to control it.

These units will fit on any boiler.

The wiring is the same as well, real easy to switch
For those with signal issues between the hub & rad valves, the signal extender has gone down in price from Amazon:
