At that price is still absolutely value for money. But yeah, I still be a little gutted. I just completed the main game (for the 3rd time) in about 70 hours, still have the expansions to playthrough.
Excellent! Cheers @MrYorkshire I was still p!ssed at myself for not buying it last time it was this price, even though I posted it! (Along with quite a few others over the last months) already finished it on the PS4 so am literally buying for the DLC... and it would be totally rude not to put another 90 or so hours in to the campaign first, no?

Heat added 🔥

Thanks Eugene! My only regret is that I can't erase my memory and play it all over again, blind. It's been out for almost 3 years and still no game can touch it, in my opinion. The writing is so good and they have lots of memorable characters. I can't praise it high enough.

Time has been a pretty good eraser for me, I’m playing through the remastered version of Bioshock at the moment having not played it since launch on the Xbox 360 and while I remember the main plot points, a lot of the little things are surprising me along the way.

Maybe I’ll buy but hold fire on actually playing The Witcher 3, for now at least. Give it another 5 or so years and go back in almost fresh. I’ll have a better computer then too so it’ll look even better too!

And agree nothing has touched this, as much as I adore the Soulsborne series this is the pinnacle of a RPG for me.
I will give this heat just for the price of a GOTY edition, although i do not like these games myself, bought the 1st and second, first just bored me to tears, the second looked very interesting, then it came to the combat which i found just horrible and frustrating, so that is why i steered cleared of the third, but a lot seem to enjoy it so who am i to rain on their parade.....and it is annoying as the game look fantastic on the XBX, yet the combat, ARRRRGGHHHHHHHH!. lol

So heat for that GOTY price.

Aw yeah, love me some Bloodborne. I went back to it last year, after I quit because I couldn't get passed the third boss. But I persisted this time and completed it. One of the most satisfying feelings is when you beat a boss by the skin of your teeth. I have both Dark Souls 2 & 3 in my steam library, but i'm waiting for the Dark Souls remastered, because I want to play them in order.

I played the first Bioshock about 3 years ago and couldn't really get into it, even though I've completed it. I've heard Bioshock infinite is really good as well.

And I played the Witcher this time on PC in Ultra settings and it looks amazing.

cant recommend this game enough, one of the best i have ever played. however i do have to say that i installed the mod that removed the element of weight from the game. i am a loot whore, i have to loot everything and i cant be bothered to deal with it. but apart from that, great story, immersive enviroment, just a joy to explore and you actually care about some characters.

I couldn't get into the first either. Really enjoyed the second, and found Bioshock infinite bland and boring (same studio as the first game) their style just mustn't be my cup of tea, as plenty like them.

I hear you, it took me from 2011-2015 to finish Demons Souls, kept getting to the same part, getting stuck and then giving up... few months later- start from scratch and the same; until it finally clicked. After that I went through Demons, Dark 1,2,SotfS,3 and Bloodborne. Apart from the farming of Blood Vials Bloodborne was my favourite, one boss (The Orphan of Kos) had me the closest I was to giving up- then when I beat it (finally) I only had the last boss (two) left and they were a cake walk.

- that’s a video of me beating the orphan - don’t know why the app won’t let me hyperlink it to a sentence, it was definitely more luck than skill but it was such a good feeling to win, that boss played against my every weakness - which is awesome because it absolutely challenged me to my limit - some bosses that others have struggled with I’ve just walked through (Father Gascoigne being one).

You can’t force yourself to like a game I guess, for me Bioshock was the first game I played on the 360 that grabbed me and I’ll always remember that. Infinite is great too, completely different to the first one and definitely worth it, even if just for the whacko plot.

Nice video, bet you were nervous when it's health bar got right down to 5%. I never faced that boss, think it was optional. I struggled with the darkbeast paarl. But when I played it second time round, I beat Father Gascoigne and Vicar Amelia in the first try. Blood Starved beast I beat in the second try. I did a lot of grinding in Yharnam, so I probably was over-levelled. I hated the forrest part with the snakes, death at every turn.

I might give Bioshock another go, I'm like that with movies, were I initially don't like them but on second viewing they become some of my favourite films.

Oh totally, that was probably my 30th go at that point - the second phase of that boss had my number!

Darkbeast Paarl was my first real challenge of the game too, I’d come straight out of playing one of the Souls games so it was a little bit of a learning curve. I find it’s much better to be a little OP in a Souls type game, it gets so long to get to that level with the grind that you deserve it! Let’s hope Shadows Die Twice ends up being something similar - nothing is more rewarding than beating a Souls boss without looking it up!

Yeah maybe give Bioshock a go again, much like you said with films - it’s the mood and the place you’re in too! Don’t miss out on 2 though if you fall for Infinite - I adored one and quit playing 2 ruling it out as trash compared to the first but then after finishing Infinite I craved more Bioshock and went back to 2 - underrated gem!
The combat mechanics/physics in this game are ridiculously bad!! Ruined what could have been a great game.
I have the Witcher3 on the Origin platform. I wonder if I buy this GOTY edition on Steam I'll be able to transfer my save game?
Finished the main story couple of days ago and finished Hearts of Stone expansion yesterday. Love the game! Played couple of side quests from Blood and Wine and all I can say is, expansion packs are well worth it! HEAT!

Hi no for some reason you can't transfer a save from standard Witcher3 to GOTY edition.

Yeah, I had the same problem with the PS4 version. It's to do with games coding that makes standard Witcher 3 saves incompatible. I ended up selling the PS4 version and getting it on PC.

Just no. What combat mechanics should they use instead?

Some better physics for a start. Same when you're moving the player around obstacles. It's just too 'approximate' and random rather than precise.

I didn't say physics which I agree are bit sluggish. Saying that it has option in the menu that changes the character movement to make it less sluggish but still doesn't solve the issue. I didn't really have any issues once I changed it in the options menu.. Again, what combat system would you use? Give me an example.

I think I'm going to get this game.

I see the Trillogy is £14.20, but be careful as W3 is not GOTY in this bundle.

Heck, I might even get W1 and W2... Go nuts!
