sorted byedit: looks like limited stock on some of the stuff on offer, oops! (edited)
was going to get some of these but out of stock at my local one
I have some dusk till dawn up down lights in the front of my house with 4 x regular GU10 bulbs.
So basically they come on when it's dark and switch off when it's light.
With the rise in electricity, I don't want them on all night so happy for them to switch on when the sun goes down but want them to switch off around midnight.
Should I go for these or a WIFI spur switch? Currently, there is a switch on the inside that I click when going to bed and turn on in the morning when I wake up. (definately needs automation)
GU10 Pros
Timed control
Control over each light
Control brightness so can dim them slightly to my preference
Application
Cons
Not sure that the dusk till dawn sensor will cause an issue with the connectivity of the GU10 bulbs as it only provides power to the units when there is a bright enough source.
Wifi Spur switch Pros
Timed control
Control over power
Application
Cons
Only power over the switch. None of the features that come with WIFI bulbs
Thanks All, (edited)
Comparing these and a cheap Chinese equivalent is comparing a haven holiday an all inclusive in Mexico.
