Might as well buy the ]Tenda W311R+, for £24.78 delivered.

This way you get a proper warranty and much faster delivery. The Tenda firmware also has some nice features, that even more expensive Netgear/Linksys routers don't have.

The Tenda is for cable users, no?

^^ Yes, I think I read it was for cable users the other day

They are both Cable/DSL broadband routers, which means that they have no in-built modem and will require an external Ethernet Cable/ADSL modem.

there are just some things that you avoid getting from China and I'd say this would be one of them.... hold out for a sale on a branded item.. not voted.

I got the Tenda router/dongle from Ebuyer last week. So far not very impressed with the wireless range. It's worse than my Netgear 11g :-(

For a unit price of £19.99 it's fabulous, but yes a £40 Buffalo N router kicks it's ass.

What I do find is that all USB dongles lack penetration power (there are a few expensive, high power dongles that mark an exception, but these are not mainstream) .

Have your tried using a laptop with in-built wireless for comparison? I bet it receives a much better signal from the router.
