Yea the postage is a breaker but still I paid over £70 for this same drill not too long ago so at this price it's a good deal

And trust me - it drills through anything including pre-fab concrete like a hot knife through butter

hmmm quite tempted with one of these...dont have any job right now that would need one and dont foresee a time I would need one, but if its as good as people say I guess its better to have one than not...right?? or am I buying for the sake of it...

I bought it to drill some holes in outside garage which is pre-fab concrete - my other drills which are standard electric hammer drill and also a Dewalt hammer drill couldn't do the job.

Bought this and wow easy peasy' I've also used it for chiselling out brick to put in new electric sockets - our neighbours weren't best pleased with the noise but I was happy with the performance of this which made easy work of difficult tasks.

If you think you'll use it and use it often trust me it's a good buy.

It's a beast of a drill.
Hope this helps

ALDI often have an excellent SDS drill...I think I paid £30 for mine.

What's the spec on the aldi one ?

This looks a great buy, and still in stock, but I cannot justify another drill. Bought 4 last year & 1 already this year.
Mega heat for deal though

The safety clutch is important on any SDS drill which this one has.

If you can find a same spec different model elsewhere fitted with a safety clutch then obviously it's worth looking at that too.

The only other thing I should mention is trying to use this when up on ladders isn't recommended due to the weight of the drill.

You need both arms to hold this steady !

Just a heads up in case anybody is considering it for working off the ground

And if you look closely... the plastic shell is identical to the Aldi version [except for the colour]... so I'm guessing both from the same manufacturer really. I'd pay £50 for one though - they are an excellent robust piece of kit [OK not pro-grade], but mine lasted 2 years of being used almost daily for various drilling, chiselling (great for removing wall to ceiling tiles!) and mixing jobs - It eventually knackered up when used to cut a hole for a new toilet waste and the gearbox shredded - was still in warranty so they sent me a new one no quibble.

Can't argue with that warranty, not sure what the warranty is on this wolf unit.

So does the aldi one have a safety clutch ?

be interested to know if Aldi one is the better option....

I have a Wolf drill from the 40's or 50's at a guess; it still works. Rubber gloves recommended as it's metal housed.

If Carlsberg did drills, it'd be the best drill in the world - bright yellow, just brilliant!!
