"And in my experience game is an over priced retailer."

I fixed the problem with your statement.

Since the time they sent me a used game which was supposed to be new (as stated online), I've lost my trust in game!

Thank you but the only problem with my message was that you felt inclined to alter it . Please look at trustpilots reviews from over 14 thousand people giving game 4 out of five stars overall compared to Grainger games who have 1 star and are awful .this is what I mean by good retailer ,cheers
There are also a lot of complaints and a LOT of people with 1 & 2 star reviews too. Just for balance.
Plus there was a concerted effort to contact historic customers to get the rating up in the past year. So people would have that exact impression. Fact is there are a lot of complaints and an almost non existent returns process.

Also don't forget the report trick or "this review is fake. Get the user to prove their service with a receipt."

Either people CBA = review gets deleted
People don't use that email address = review gets deleted
People lost their receipt = review gets deleted.

Mine was seeing a game online for £40 new (forgot the title). Then going into store to collect it as wanted to play the game the same day and was told it was £49.99.

I asked why and they gave me some bs about taking space in the back off the shop. It's a shelf tax to people who don't internet shop.

I'm shocked game are still about.
Wicked game tho
It's not a Shelf tax by the way. I contacted Game once complaining about the high in-store prices. At the time it was a complaint about how their store prices differed to their own online (which they seem to have sorted by raising the online prices) and the response I got was "prices are higher in store due to the experience you get from our store team and excellent customer service". I replied that I'd rather pay less for games than "experience" being bombarded with 10 attempts at add-on sales at the till when buying something. Game need to do one now!

They’ve done that to me a few times. Latest time, today! I ordered the Aven Colony deal that was on here a couple of days ago - accidentally ordered it for store collection- must have been fate though because they guy said “can we open the package to see if it’s the right game” so I said “sure” ... when he opened the package it turned out to be pre owned so I just asked for a refund

Think that’s the third time they’ve done that to me - the first two I kept because I was too lazy to send them back. I shall not order from them again.

A good retailer is to sell products to someone with a good service (case by case bases) and a good price.
Game don't always give good service and their prices are laughable, a lot like you.

I ordered the Dead Island Slaughter Pack from them recently online - delivery was pretty quick so that was a positive. I would have picked it up in store when I happened to be in town but didn’t want to pay the £5 extra for the privilege
I cant enter a GAME store. Thats like buying milk from Harrods.

They want us to be lazy - but don't give into them. We have our rights. My game was that 6.99 one (the surge I think) and still I went back to store to have a go at them and return it just to prove a point. They offered a new copy, however, I refused due to principle. I shouldn't have the need to go through that headache , so ordered from Amazon (who, for me, are much better).
