    What’s your point ?

I think his point is quite clearly that TNF used to be a credible outdoor excursion line of products, which have recently been cheapened and devalued by marketing them as more of an urban wear brand, more suitable for walking up the high street than up a mountain. That's been my thoughts on it for a while anyway, and my guess is that's what he's getting at. (edited)

I bought some North Face Shorts. RRP £60, reduced to £40.

The nylon material crumpled up in no time.
Also, the mesh pockets developed holes after less than 3 months of use. That was typically with a single hotel key in on pocket and coins in another. So if the pockets aren't secure for holding cash and keys after 3 months, what use are the pockets ?

I've got some far cheaper "Lonsdale" shorts form Sports Direct from about 20 years ago that are in better condition than these.

I love that weather that’s cold enough for a jacket, but not cold enough to wear trousers

Yep. And all ages from 8 to 80 too. I avoid it!

    There's LOADS of these about!

Lets do the breakdown... Massive puffa jacket. Maybe a scarf too for good measure. Beanie/bobble hat....shorts, no socks, sandals, slides or trainers.

Hilarious! Make your mind up you morons! (edited)

Hi Jason, I’ve got to ask… Are your shorts as short as hers?

Exactly that - count me in with this. Thought Boostii's point was obvious and well made. Young lady not best equipped for a tramp on the fells.
I've bought some good technical stuff from them in the past but I've lost faith in the brand now and won't buy again.
it all started going off with the Nuptse jacket?

Patagonia still stays quite true to its outdoorsy roots - if you were looking for an alternative.

    It's becoming a 'roadman' brand

Anything that hits uk high Street becomes roadman brand if a roadman wears it..
