I loved playing this game on Master System!
This is great but makes newer, snowflake gamers rage with its old school difficulty

While we're talking Master System, I'm all about Alex Kidd in Shinobi World - What a game!

Hello fellow middle aged person
This is great but makes newer, snowflake gamers rage with its old school difficulty

Pc engine, turbo grafx 16, definitely not talked enough about
Completed this on Switch the other day. Really good and charming. Not as polished inherently as a Mario or Megaman etc. Title but well worth the price.
Is it suitable for my 9yr old?

I'm pretty sure my Master System may have come bundled with Alex Kidd. It might have been a game card instead of a cartridge?

Alex the Kidd came built into the system memory . You could boot it up when the cartridge slot was empty. I remember being fascinated by this 'new era' of technology!

There was also some kind of hidden game which was a snail game if I recall correctly. So cool!

This thread is properly bringing back memories of going to my local games rental place when I was like 6... Just spending hours looking at the back of the cases and imagining the wonder of the games within (some of the master system cases were really weird aswell!) and then finally making your choice and having like 2 days to complete the whole game because my old man was tight and always went for the £1.50 2 day rental....

Ahh good times.... These days I have so many games it all has become meaningless to some extent!

My mate and I actually booted up Alex Kidd in Miracle World (The one that was built in to most consoles) a few months back on an emulator for the nostalgia and it is ridiculously hard!

The only way we could beat it was by using savestates on the emulator... The ridiculous thing is, I beat the game when I was like 7 and I have no idea how! The rock, paper, scissors bosses were so awful, honestly who came up with that idea!?

I can remember how I played it last, probably emulated on the PSP, but yeh mega hard, can't remember if I ever completed it back in the day, I know I did Sonic but used to spend all day playing with mates until we did it, alot of games had passwords too, playing nowadays they aren't as responsive which makes it harder when your so used to these more precise games one of my faves was Ninja I think it was called, solid but loads of fun, dont remember getting stressed at games back then
