are these not illegal?

More likely to clang yourself in the nuts than look like Bruce Lee. Mind you I'm sure even the mighty Mr Lee probably caught himself in the clackers every now and again.

Looking at the build quality, you might as well chuck this offer out.

What do you expect for a couple of quid? I've ordered regardless, many bruises to be had no doubt. Thanks

How do I plug this into my Wii controller? It has no cable

i really want to buy a police baton. used to have one, american spec. it was brilliant, until some scum stole it. please let me know if i can order from anywhere. help.

Great piece of craftsmanship there, cheap sink chain and a couple of curtain hooks. Think I may have that in the shed and an old curtain pole I could cut up. Cheap deal though oO

Will last approx 1 hour before one end flies off and takes out most of your teeth or the nearest window. How much will it cost to fix them ?

Hot for reminding me the the master himself is having a re run on sky at the moment on scifi,

You only need these if your Kung Fu is weak!

Made my own as a kid similar speck to these, got them taken off me by my mum for breaking the lampshade in the living room.

You call them nunchucks, now these are nunchucks.

lol!

worth every second of making these and uploading the pic!

These are the 'small arms' of the martial arts weaponary, to be tucked under belt. The ones on sale are not meant for fighting but light practice and are very good for developing co-ordination and upper arm exercise. Anyone can do the basic move which involves throwing it over shoulder and catching it under arm, but the most spactacular is the one around the waist.

Even with "light practice" I wouldn't trust the build quality. They haven't even screwed the curtain rings in the centre of the pieces of wood. Looks like some monkey was employed to screw them in.

It depends on how heavy the batons are and I doubt a competent martial artist will use them so most likely they will be done at slow speed by novices or even for wall display which I suspect what they are meant for.

Seriously, these are absolute tat.
They will only afford the incompetent one single (inadvertent) destructive moment.
Outcome?
Wildly varied, none of it especially good.

I vote hot just for your description, and the fact that the chain holding the heavy wooden death-sticks looks as stalwart as soggy lettuce and is unquestionably going to cause awesome mayhem to anyone who buys these. I can see lcd TVs, fish-tanks and spouses smashing across the country in way that hasn't happened since the Wii was released.

Chaos Theory

lol, i remember a friend had one of these. he told me that he had a few accidents with them - flung one into his nuts, his face, his elbows... all in the name of trying to be the next Bruce lee.

don't buy these unless you are prepared to risk the life of anyone who is around you when you use them.

as an aside nunchucks are ok as a training aid (though i could think of better ways to train) but not much cop as an actual weapon.

Much easier to make your own, using an old broom handle, a sink chain and a couple of U-shape nails like the good old days.

Just want to add, if you're dumb enough to carry these things around in public (or a police baton etc.) without a valid excuse (like travelling to an arranged martial arts class) you MAY/should face jail time.

Ironically, if you need a weapon for personal defence, resort to the method that nunchukas were designed for (they were designed to be like rice flails when peasants were banned from carrying weapons). Carry something that is ambiguous - a glass bottle, potatoes in a bag etc.

In the US you have the right to defend yourself. You don't seem to have this right here in the UK.

you guys are a bunch of comedians!!

Also, aren't training nunchuks usually foam for full contact, rather than poorly designed wood models?

Surely genuine nunchucks can be used for training if there is no contact?
