Realised too late for the shame 😥
I've just registered a dozen new HUKD accounts, so I can give this deal sufficient heat!

Need to find this
🔥🔥🔥
Woah, I've been wanting to try this but it's always been so expensive any place that had it. £25 is a bargain.

EDIT: Not available in my area, bummer.

I haven't had the Woodford Rye yet, but generally ryes are spicier and dryer than bourbons. Bourbons use mainly corn, which makes them generally sweeter.

This one is Rye, the other is bourbon. Have a quick Google to see the difference between the two...
Lately I've been favouring Rye over bourbon as the there is more depth and spice usually. Haven't tried Woodford Rye though

It’s like asking the difference between vodka and gin - Rye Whiskey and Bourbon have different ingredients and are made differently
Never tried rye whiskey before. This looks quality though, hope it doesn’t give me gut rot!

Cracking show bob!
This is usually about £30 ish pound a bottle and at that price its greatly under priced as this is well up there with £50+ priced whiskeys, I love this stuff and always have a bottle in and at this price its a no brainer! Thanks.
Shelf has been cleared at asda queensferry so missed out unfortunately. Just an empty gap with the reduced tag

Edit : Ordered 2 bottles online to collect tomorrow. One for me and one for a gift. Fingers crossed they don’t cancel it

Was actually going to go earlier and decided to have lunch first instead Asked staff, but what was on the shelf was all they had.

Was tempted to go and look in chester, but didn’t fancy a wild goose chase

It's also a rye whisky instead of a bourbon. Bourbons use brand new fired oak casks to qualify as a bourbon. I assume these must use different casks.

Done a little research, it's not much different to the original, It's 53% rye mash. The legal minimum for a Rye whisky is 51%, so this just about qualifies.

"Unlike a lot of recent rye releases crowing about their “high-rye” mashbills, the Woodford Reserve Rye mashbill can only be called “low-rye”: 53% rye (the legal minimum is 51%), 33% corn, and 14% malted barley. Woodford Reserve claims this mashbill was chosen to maintain the house characteristics familiar from its bourbons, and is thus sweeter than most ryes. With no age statement on the bottle and the “straight whiskey” declaration, one must assume the rye is at or slightly above 4 years of age."

For what's in it, this is the price it should probably be all the time. Well marketed.

You're thinking the normal Woodford not the Rye, my local Asda appear to have only recently started stocking this and immediatley reduced it haha, normal price £35 according to the Asda tag, but check the prices pretty much everywhere else of the rye one

I'm not sure about this kind of logic. Personally I don't buy spirits because they are older or because of the percentage of a specific grain in them, at most those things might be indicative of quality but surely if the quality is what you care about then use that to determine what something is worth to you.
I'm also not sure how you determined that it isn't much different to the original; the original is 18% rye meaning this has 3 times as much.
