  • Toffee, cinnamon, cloves and pepper spice on the nose with thick caramel notes.
  • Muscovado sugar, soft toffee and just a hint of the spice detected on the nose. This is very smooth, belying its hefty abv.
  • A rich, dark rum with a high abv that retains its smoothness

It sure is if your local stocks the stuff. Mine doesn't

My rum of choice for 30 years.
Unfortunately not stocked in enough places around me so I've gotta wait for the inlaws to come from Spain for a couple of bottles @ £16 a litre

The best rum i have had, if any one is fond of old monk, they should try this one, this is better than that

£21 in morrisons if you cant be bothered waiting for postman

Love this rum , heat added ☺

Throw a few vanilla pods in it that you have pierced with a sharp knife and leave for a couple of months giving it a good shake every few days. Heaven!

£16? Got one a couple of months ago from Gibraltar for £6 a litre ... the Cuban stuff was about £12/Ltr.

That's it then. I'll get the ferry to Calais, drive to Gibraltar and pick up a bottle.
