Saw this in Woolworths Ipswich fully boxed and unopened in clearance shelves- seems like a good starter package and christmas present for the kids as it has everything included. Took a crap camera picture and cant post it but this is summary of what the box includes:-

17inch professional monitor (think it is crt)
WinXP
DVD/CD Writer
80 GB hard drive I think
speakers, keyboard, mouse

Now I did find this on the net which looks the same (but cant guarantee) so this might be the spec:-

They must have been clearing out a long lost corner of the store room!

woolworths are currently clearing out all old stock across all departments so it is just a case of what each store has left in stock but there is a lot of bargains at the moment

Whoa they still sell CRT monitors??

but CRT monitors are far superior to LCD (apart from hogging the desk)..........

Thats true to some extent, certainly 4 or 5 years ago, but newer LCDs are much better, and my Dell Ultrasharp is far better than my 5 year old CRT, so cheap CRT doesnt mean better than all LCDs past present and future. And of course this one will be very cheap.

why is it so cold? i dont understand, please somebody explain!

You can get a faaaaaar better refurb spec from pc world for that money, no monitor I know.

did i just see a CRT?

I dont understand why so cold either, never said it was a performance PC, quote "good starter package". Spending a tenner and upgrading the RAM would help but other than that I thought a good deal for those who cant afford anything better and want everything they need to get going..................anyway ive got a dell so didnt need it:w00t:

nice one for trying but sum people do not understand that its nice to have the best of everything but as thing are extreamly tight for most people on budgets have make every saving is most wellcome. credit crunch! or no confidence in the uk economick down turn markets.
